I would say Dr. Day summed that up pretty much on point.
I read the article and what she talks about is accurate. The dashboard is real. For doctors and nurses. And the appeals were on a serious backup most of last year. She also took time before she talked tk the press etc. seems 1000% legit.
Good article and this 100% tracks with the shift in Cigna culture over the last 5-6 years. Metrics and profit matters more than anything else, even customers getting benefits they are entitled to. If an AI can reject claims, we will do it for whatever short term gain we can get that quarter, regardless if it costs us hundreds of millions in fines and settlements. Save a penny today to pay a dollar tomorrow.
