Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

F.U.D.

Fear. Uncertainty. Doubt.
That's no way to run a company, but it's a great way to dash a company into the rocks.
Listen up leadership - you are slow-ki-ling the company whether you realize it or not. Maybe that's your game, or maybe you are incompetent in these matters, or maybe you just don't care. The simple fact is WE run the company, not you. Sure, you get to make major decisions and get headlines and speak on TV. But WE do the daily work of running the company. WE grind it out. WE implement solutions. WE are the company, not you. If you don't take US seriously and LISTEN, then you are surely headed to endless FUD. There's plenty of it around lately. You created it, it's highly contagious and difficult to cure.

Welcome friend from UHG! It does seem we are all in the same cr-ppy boat as of late.

Jumped over hear from the UHG/UHC/Optum pages just to see if there were other health competitors that treated their employees in a way that would make them satisfied with their work, engaged and striving for innovation because the company valued them and treated them right...I'm not finding success. It seems we're all in different burning trash cans. :( These companies are getting so big, the employees keeping the lights on just don't matter to them.

You are spot on. And ELT and SLT are smart people. They just don’t care. They way they are tanking culture after years of making sure Cigna was a great employer tell me they are doing things to boost stock prices ahead of retirements where they can cash out. If the company fails in 3 years they won’t care when they read about it from one of their 6 houses. Golden parachutes should be illegal. Destroying people’s livelihoods and running off with fistfuls of money is encouraged sadly.
