Severance pay

When they state that you get 1.5 weeks per years of service does this mean years with the company or years in the dept your being RIFd from? What if you’ve changed depts at some point?

Contractors and upcoming RIF

Curious if anyone knows if contractors will also be part of the 8/8 RIF. I’m thinking it’s anyone’s guess but hoping someone has heard something.

Anyone familiar with when the warn notices go out, get filed and made public for the states that require/mandate them? If 8/8 is RIF then do notices get posted same day? Sooner? Later?

How much notice?

Will those being RIFed on 8/8 be let go immediately or will they have 30 days notice?

How does this company get around the WARN act?

Consistently they've been able to not report major layoffs nor give people more than 30 days notice. I know the legal team is weighty and well-compensated, so they are clearly within the law, but I've never understood how.
