Ummmm...grest pokucies?
Do we think we can actually READ what we're writing before submitting it? Come on, folks, we're not five year olds.
My PPO cobra was priced at $2k for myself, spouse, child. Im forced to buy short term united underwriting insurance for $600. And it covers nothing. AND since its underwritten, uour application can be denied got pre-existing!! Bcbs individual was going to run me $1,500 and a high deductible (over $10k). And in my state, good providers wont take individual bought coverage. The last ACA changes really destroyed a lot of the good things about ACA such as forcing insurance companies to provide low cost, grest pokucies.
I just read "New applications for the Anthem Enhanced Choice Plans will no longer be accepted after July 25, 2024."
Did anybody else notice this site is now scrubbing the 'name or pseudonym' you can enter when posting something? I think that's new.
After I was Rif'd last year, I also picked up health care off the exchange. I chose to pay a higher premium than Anthem's offer just so I didn't have to ever see that fu--ing logo in my house.
Check with an insurance broker after your RIF period ends. I was able to get an off the Obamacare exchange individual policy for less than cobra and less than Obamacare. In fact anthem sells it in many states. It’s called Anthem Enhanced Choice
You get to continue with your normal insurance and premium during the RIF period. After that is when you need to start looking for other options.
I just looked up Cobra on Pulse, starts at $692 a month for medical only :(
I think it depends on what state you are in. I’ve heard various tales of people getting it in New York during unemployment.
