Thread regarding Nationwide (Insurance and Financial Services) layoffs

Nationwide Su-ks

Yep, its happening. Nationwide is laying off their personal lines claims services, which are US employees and outsourcing via Cosource. We have already received calls from people saying that they are getting people they can't understand. They are telling us it'll be early/mid 2025, but yep...Its happening & NW is shady and doesn't give a cr-p about their employees...

Just got informed yesterday that we will all be laid off. Going to have my 2 crowns inserted and have bariatric surgery before 2025. Definitely plan to exhaust my medical benefits.
I enjoy working at Nationwide but I have a Bachelor’s degree with high honors and lots of experience so I am highly qualified.
I am looking into starting my own business because I am tired of working and getting laid off.
Previously worked at Enterprise for almost 5 years then the pandemic came. They gave us 2 weeks pay as severance and laid us off.
I hope the severance from Nationwide will be better. I highly doubt that they are as cheap as Enterprise Car Rental. I made $10 more per hour than at Enterprise to start with Nationwide so I am very happy with my job. If I get a decent severance I will definitely start my own business.

I’ve survived many layoffs after the last 10 years there but they finally got me. It’s been stressful to work for NW to say the least. I hope theres a brighter future for all of us

Company jobs are going to is EXL . NW customers pay more for quality and personal service. Now they won’t have a reason to pay more and will go with cheaper companies. Nw is making a net operating profit of 1.3 billion in 2023 , record 60 billion in revenue and still wants more at the expense of their customers and employees
