Any layoffs before 1/2025?

Do we expect any big number rounds before Jan?

If you’re an agent in commercial then get ready for things to go downhill even more. You can hardly reach an uw as it is.

Yes 80 total left for all of small commercial -regional/assigned/national whatever you want to call it. They got rid of 2/3 of UWs all together.

80 UWs total in Commercial, for National and Assigned combined? That is a massive reduction, much greater than expected. And only 8 managers? I don't see how they can operate with so few!

So not all call center reps are being global sourced? They are keeping a small amount?

Commercial UW is reducing to approximately 80 UWs and 8 managers. I’ve heard they have around 200 currently? Could be wrong on that though. It’s a lot in commercial UW though. Also heard about 20 people from the commercial service center are out. Notifications are being given out today. Official WARN notice is 8/3. If you see a sudden 15-20 minute meeting appear on your calendar, it's likely you're being let go.

Do you know how many UWs will be let go? And if it will be effective in 2 mos, or next year?

Yes. Next week there will be a large layoff for commercial UW. Commercial servicing, processing, and sales likely impacted too. Managers got notified this week. Everyone else finds out next week.

Honestly I don’t think so. The all employee email today from Berven said he expects 5% staff cuts over the next year.

I can only answer for P&C Personal Lines, but I think some of the comments below may be a bit extreme. If someone is having an experience like customers encountering foreign call center reps that they can’t understand, it would really help if they said what department they are in. That’s not happening to us, AFAIK.

There certainly have been RIFS that have happened recently but my perception is that they are done now, till 2025. If anyone knows different, say what DEPARTMENT you are in. You don’t have to give your name just like “Commercial U/W” or “Pet.” Thank you
