I We heard all call center jobs going to global source personal lines and commercial claims call center processing acm pl cl services etc . So sad these people are the first line employees that have raised their jd power scores . Big executives bring penny wise pound foolish . Nationwide has never been the cheapest but was able to retain policy holders by the customer service . Without that why would anyone pay top dollar ? Agents will not continue to write NW and that will impact premiums and profit. Their mission statement is misaligned . They do not treat people with extraordinary care especially their employees

Going back to the well with outsourcing the call centers. It didn't work then under different leadership and had to bring it back on shore, and build a new call center in San Antonio. NW prided itself on no layoffs in the entire company's history up until 2018. Then, layoffs became the default choice to balancing loss ratios and just got easier and easier.
The JD Power employee engagement scores mentioned are all achieved under the threats of lower evaluations and action plans when the tone is set at the top and mid-managers are required to perform damage control with their teams. It has been this way for the last 20 years
