Thread regarding Nationwide (Insurance and Financial Services) layoffs

NATIONWIDE LAYOFFS

These are happening. Typically 60 day notice given. Layoffs don't seem to make sense - experienced employees often with high performance ratings being let go. Seems those who were with Allied are protected regardless of their abilities.

Good luck to those about to lose their jobs! Im praying for you all for a better job at a company that truly cares about YOU as an individual and that you will be rewarded for your hard work and sacrifice. Nationwide laid me off after years of faithful service to them. Worked my a-s off for the good of the company and received my pink slip with no regard to my prior service. And the people who they left in leadership positions absolutely SU-K at their jobs....everyone talked about them and how they never did their jobs. How is it that those who work the hardest and get so many bravos for their work get the least rewards and dropped like a rock?! F* THAT!! I dropped my insurance with them immediately after leaving them too! They dont give a S* about their employees....only the bottom line. I know its business, but you HAVE to have more compassion and understanding as a company that makes that kind of money hand over fist. Kirt Walker and his cronies can say all they want about how they're all about the people and how they make the business run, but the leadership are nothing but greedy pigs that will do anything to keep the money flowing into their pockets!

That's so strange. Is this a second round after shedding pet employees? Which departments are affected?
