Can they make it more obvious they target 50+ and high salaried for layoffs?

We all know it's illegal to discriminate against age, s-x, religion, bla bla bla for both hiring AND layoffs but, it's just blatantly obvious dell absolutely targets the 50+ crowd, those who are heavily tenured (15+ years) and those with too high of a salary.

For the last 7 years, dell has been on a layoff frenzy twice a year and the vast majority of those I know whom were laid off were 50+ and an i9 or above. With a small portion of under i9's.

NJ offices how long before we all forced to relocate?

So it seems somewhat apparent that the writing is on the wall , RE is pricey in NJ (Northeaast) , and with little innovation coming out of NJ how long before execs order everyone to GA or TX , anyone have any credible info. With everyone consolidating into one building in Middletown and the recent more to a different facility in Bedminister, it seems like just arranging the deck chairs...

What Happens If You Don’t Return Equipment?

My last day at BNY was a few weeks ago. What would happen if I don’t return a computer monitor that I’ve used for wfh?

For context- they reached out shortly before my last day requesting my address to send a box to return the monitor. I gave my address and had told them they’ll also need to send someone to pick it up. I never heard back and the box recently arrived. I have no intention of physically carrying the box to a local shipping location.

Should I be getting paid more?

I’m a sales associate with well rounded retail experience and knowledge. I swap posters in beauty and fragrances when the VC is away. I was given holiday seasonals to train without being a seasonal captain..I also get ask to tell employees what to do and even to reprimand them. How should I go about addressing this issue? Should I be getting paid more? any input would help.

Insider sale

Why on Earth do insiders in Qualcomm keep selling their stock holding like crazy, and then go pump the stock in the interviews and praise the future of the company ?
Someone should question them in the next AHM, especially MF Akash who has been selling a lot over the last few months.
FYI: Qualcomm insiders reduced their holding by 44% over the last year !

What is the endgame here?

Is it to make working conditions so insufferable that people quit en mass to avoid dreaded WARN notices? Are we clearing the way for the inevitable deployment of AI? Are we simply attempting to pump up the stock price at any cost while waiting on our golden parachute to deploy?

Mean Girls fight scene

Take a long scroll through the posts today. Look at what this is doing to employees who I bet would hold doors, chat around the water cooler, laugh on TEAMS together. This reminds me of the Mean Girls massive fight scene where she imagines them all like safari animals. We turned on each other instead of where it needs to go. Why?!

$6 Chicken

I currently live on $5 chickens, but I’m moving to the hub and I’m considering paying the extra dollar for the work chicken. Does anyone have an ingredient list? I prefer eating clean and hope this will reduce my trips to the store. I’m particularly interested in comparing the taste, size, and ingredients of these chickens to Costco chickens.

PIP/unemployment benefits question

If an IBM employee is put on a PIP - say for example - Seller not making their quota (assuming nothing else was a problem), and the employee is terminated as a result of the PIP, will IBM fight unemployment pay? I have received conflicting information. One person was adamant that the only ways to not be able to claim unemployment are 1) the employee quit on their own 2) insubordination.

Corporate Risk Structure: Wells Fargo vs. JPMorgan?

For those familiar with both organizations, how does the Corporate Risk structure at JPMorgan Chase differ from Wells Fargo today? There have been some mentions of aligning more closely with how organizations like JPMC structure their risk functions. Curious if anyone has visibility into what that could look like in practice.
