Laying off while actively hiring
How does that even work? Explain it to me like I'm 5, please.
85 workers to be laid off, rehired by contractor

Already starting in Mx!
Today we have the 'mysterious meeting'. Last day tomorrow... And there's many people impacted :/
Layoffs have started
Hundreds of folks, all over the place. Remember when this was considered a safe job?
Get your resume out there
Everyone here should be actively interviewing, not just browsing job postings. If you're still satisfied with how you're treated, you must enjoy the abuse. The rest of us need to be aggressively looking for an exit.
Alleged numbers
I am hearing from multiple sources that half of FOS was RIF'd along with over 600 developers between the FIS banking core systems.
Praying for a package
I've been through the entire cycle of emotions. Denial, anger, trying to negotiate with myself, depression, and now I'm finally at acceptance. I've landed at the point where a severance feels like the best possible outcome. I'm actually ready for it now.
How many layoffs did we have in the last 12 months?
I can think of three rounds that consisted of more than just a few people. Am I missing anything?
Getting laid off in February drastically improved my life
Just like most of you, I was miserable at TD. Doing the workload of two jobs, with a horrible management team. But for some reason, I wasn’t interviewing because the thought of juggling a job search and an insane workload at TD stressed me out. Well I already landed a new job (much better company) with a 20% pay increase. TD severance still running through May. This is a message to everyone still there - you HAVE to start interviewing! The ship is sinking rapidly, but if you put your mind to it, you can land another job pretty quickly. The job market is bad, but not THAT bad. Get out while you still can! Your life will improve!
Always the same thing
Every layoff targets the skilled workers who keep things running, and somehow the managers who do nothing but attend meetings never seem to get touched. No wonder our performance keeps sliding.
Elavon Board
The Layoff used to have a board dedicated to Elavon, I do not see that anymore. Anyone know if it still exists or if it's been replaced?
Are we offering any type of extra payment to leave in ol BST southeast TURF?
I’m almost ready to retire but will today for a package.
Any insights if and when and what it may happen?
Remote Employee
Just got a call from my director today and have 30 days to decide if I am moving to Minneapolis - 90 days to move if I accept but will be let go if I don't
Has anyone who has been bagged out reached out to an attorney?
If it is true that people who decline the offer to move to the partner will not have an opportunity to collect severance package, how is this legal?? Has anyone reached put to an attorney? The handbook is very clear…you are not eligible for severance package if you decline a position WITHIN the company. The positions being offered are NOT within the company!
RIFs confirmed for next week
I was just informed by my manager that RIFs are happening next week and I am on the reduction list. Anyone who is non-billable is in the crosshairs. No word on what the severance package looks like.
Layoff tomorrow?
Anyone else hearing of a layoff tomorrow
Kept yet cant sleep with this uncertainty... Asking to utilize this thread for any communications regarding the 9 am meetings....
Yep, couldn't sleep all evening with this in the forefront of my mind. Assume this to be a similar state for many of you... Wishing us all the best, yet not sure a decision can be adjusted at this point...

WARNING: Cognizant Bench Policy
Cognizant generally allows a 35-day bench period for employees to secure a project, often followed by a 6-10 day grace period or extension notices. Once bench time exceeds 45 days, employees enter a "risk zone" and may be asked to initiate voluntary resignation or face involuntary termination.
(Find work or leave without severance)
Check terms before signing any new contract.
Bankruptcy
The high number of RIFs and poorly run ‘transfer to contractor’ (a clear RIF later but without severance) are both obvious signs of a company about to collapse.
I blame the board and I blame senior management for letting it get this bad.
The share price will continue to fall because the company itself is failing. This last ditch effort only hastens the final failure and inevitable sale.
And I for one shall not mourn the demise.
I can only hope that it makes the architects as bankrupt monetarily as they are morally.
More layoffs
Public information on WARN ACT: Molina Healthcare is laying off 156 employees at its headquarters in Long Beach, Calif. by April 5.

Thoughts and Prayers
For those of you getting laid off, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am waiting for my time to come.
Are they sending out calendar items, or just contacting you out of the blue?
Also, it looks like India is getting hit...hard.
