I left 2 months ago for a competitor and didn’t even get so much more in salary, but I do not regret it at all.

The culture out there is so much better in many ways. No one is breathing down your neck and expecting you to work every moment. I feel respected and heard here. I hope you guys make it out too!

DLH Solutions announced significant job reductions. The company is laying off 209 employees. This action follows a government contract transition. It marks the sixth mass workforce reduction in Tennessee this year. This is also the fourth such event in Middle Tennessee.

Three major companies are closing facilities and offices in Massachusetts. Panera, Zipcar, and Thermo Fisher Scientific will lay off approximately 250 workers. Panera is closing its Franklin bakery due to a new operating model. Zipcar is consolidating corporate operations to New Jersey, closing its Boston office. Thermo Fisher Scientific will close its Franklin facility between 2026 and 2027.

I grew up in Midland and worked for Pioneer. I am watching with alarm as jobs are being shifted to Houston, Argentina, and India. It looks like the only jobs that will be left in Midland are operations. I am an engineer. Pioneer offered career growth and I could stay in Midland. Looks like that option is dead. Time to jump to a competitor and hope someone doesn’t buy them and do the same thing.

We all said outsourcing to Infosys was a huge mistake and the quality of work will drop drastically. And guess what? Just a few years later, Vanguard is now bringing back some of the outsourced jobs because what we were saying turned out to be true. Still not enough, but it's a start.

Anyone know if onshore contractors will be let go? Rumor has it all contractor contracts got extended til 3/1 for alignment purposes - is this just a cover story for having them work hard the next month and finish their projects and then they'll be rid of at Express Scripts/Evernorth? I'm working with a few contractors and wondering if they know they'll be let go in a month so won't do their work well the next 4 weeks. That would be awful for our remaining team. And does it also signal that the contractors won't be getting FTE positions in the future anymore?

On LinkedIn I Noticed a few of my former coworkers in Pittsburgh looking for new roles and "Open to work", was there a lay off at TMO? These were people that planned to retire there so I don't think it was their choice.

The people running Exxon have no clue what they're doing. They're making terrible calls that are going to sink the company and take all our jobs with it. Does anyone have faith they can actually steer us to safety?

Start looking for your next role today, but do not quit. The market is absolutely awful, worse than it looks from the inside. I was laid off and with twenty years in the field, it still took me forever to land something new. Being unemployed puts you at a huge disadvantage from the start. Keep your current seat warm until you've secured another one.

Production changes eliminating some cereal + granola lines.... 100+ people will lose jobs

I am getting 22 weeks of severance and I don’t want to lose it. However I may have the ability to come back and am in interviews next week. My last day is 2-6-26. If I ask this new division to wait until the 7 days after I sign my severance to offer me the job, can I keep the severance? I need to work but don’t want to lose the money.

For those who asked to be laid off and got the severance package, can you share how to ask (even though it’s not allowed) and how long it took? Can anyone weigh in on the chances of this happening? Thanks.

Sorry for all the people who were laid off and didn’t want it but hope you’ll find another job which will probably pay better.

For anyone who mentioned over the past couple of years that they were waiting for a severance package, what’s the plan now? Just curious because I was in the same boat, and honestly, the job market is rough. My current strategy is to switch things up and play the corporate game. Thankfully, I got a meets this year. I did 40% less work, so now I’m planning to step it up and do 20% more than last year, and fingers crossed I can keep that meets.
