What went wrong in Target, lets share!

If the decision is already made, then let’s use the next two days to be advisors to our leadership — not bystanders. we are better than the external consulting companies.

Why did Target really fail?
What are the ground-level truths about where our leadership fell short?
Which decisions over the past 3–4 years should have been made differently — or not made at all?

Chevron has become a Granfalloon.

A granfalloon is a "proud and meaningless association of human beings," a term coined by Kurt Vonnegut in his novel Cat's Cradle. It refers to a group of people who believe they share a significant connection, but this association is based on little to no real substance or shared purpose, such as being from the same town or having a common hobby

Keep up the good work!

I don't have a lot of context and I can't go too into detail without giving myself away. I recently overheard a discussion. One party in the discussion was in a leadership meeting and an anonymous site "full of toxic complaining" was brought up. I'm assuming it is this one. They probably won't change anything but at least they may see it when we tell them what awful people they are. haha

Severance Pay - Share your Numbers!

Bored. I can’t hide the fact that I’m nervous about layoffs. I’ve been with the company for over 8 years.

If you’re open to sharing, how many years did you work for the company, what was your salary at the time, and how much did you get paid? Did it include bonus? What’s the tax percentage they held?

Preferred Employee Survey Actions

Serious question - what are the top actionable items folks on this forum would like to see from AT&T Leadership? We know they read this stuff so maybe use this as another opportunity to communicate to them in a constructive way and originated by employees.

Suggestions:

  1. Maybe leave off the obvious hot divisive ones that has gotten so much air play here and have such conflicting views (RTO vs WFH, DEI, etc) so the discussion doesn’t devolve to name calling.

  2. Would be interesting if replies could be tagged as Union vs Mgmt since they may differ materially.

  3. Be serious and try to refrain from mudslinging (I.e., - don’t reply if you’re not game).
