I actually asked my Director what the succession plan was for a team that had been reduced from 60 to 8 was. He told me that upper level management thought that AI would be doing our jobs by now! Yeah right so instead you have the remaining 8 doing the work of 10 people to cover their A$$es. Whatever can't wait to be out of here!

@10y the business goal and frankly model of this company:
- deny as much as possible - and in the quest to achieve that goal - make the process as complicated, confusing, and frustrating as possible. Make ridiculous rules and claim most things are E/I
- slow walk the process of payment to members and to providers
- make it significantly difficult to "allow" a member to talk to an actual person in a timely manner that can get results for them and the care they need
- be able to explain in facts why the procedure, treatment etc. that a member physician ordered ( especially a highly skilled specialist) is not considered medically necessary by an insurance company. "We are not saying you can't have the procedure, we just won't pay for it. In accordance to our medical policies and clinical guidelines - which we write
- BUT make exceptions for internal executives and their families, and "high profile accounts" executives and their families. It is done ALL THE TIME but not for the low life staff that work for the same companies.
- Have members actually think that coming to an Appeal with a slide show and very sad story will make any difference.
Why is the reputation of this place so horrible?

I have an idea, process claims in a timely manner then build on that! All this other stuff is just words if you can’t provide great customer service.
@em Yes, the overpaid consultants have told them to try to appear human and likable to motivate the peasants… so they wear ridiculously expensive watches and talk about their trips to climb Everest and spending time at their second homes. All this while layoffs continue; I don’t think it is working as a motivational tool to make you do the work of three people!🙄
The stock is at a 5 year low. Bring in new leadership. The currents clowns have failed.
I start feeling ill around noon every Sunday knowing I have another five days of dealing with this horribly toxic work environment. I can't wait for the job market to improve so I can escape this h_ll....
