One of the BU had a huge reorg, do we know what the reason is, lots of engineers got shuffled around

Also no single retirement parties if they have another VSP. Lump people in groups of 10 with a maximum budget of 500 dollars per party. Make sure you let them know how much you have valued their contributions. I kid you not. That is what they did to people during the last VSP.
Should not be any VSP for older employees. If you missed out on the two recent ones that was your choice and you have made tons of money by staying on the job. Just retire.
Reason? Percentage?
Brutal. At least in the 1980’s and 90’s they would let you take the rest of the day to pack your things and hug your fellow coworkers while wiping away the tears right before going home to your family.
Layoffs coming. Assessing effectiveness of new structure then letting a percentage across the board go. Seen it before and only told what had happened by manager after the people let go were walked out.
