Topics regarding layoffs at Centene Corp.

How low can it go?

With the stock down around 25% YTD, does Centene now become a M&A target? If so, probably means an even lower headcount, as they try to polish the books.

Career Coaching Email

Does anyone know why some salaried positions are now being switched to hourly? Is this in response to the DOL’s attempt to raise salaried wages?

CMS appointment

for those of you who said “nothing would happen to the ACA”, I see yet another unqualified appointment that means hard times for Centene: Dr. Oz to lead CMS.

applied

I have applied to over 20+ positions. I am well accomplished in my career and am looking to move up. I went to a webinar in the summer where someone from Centene HR mentioned that just a little over 33% of internal candidates were hired, and the rest... — read more

Write up before layoff???

Just out of curiosity... how many of you were put on PIP or written up right before you got laid off? I was and several others I know were.

Been here 12 years- and now on a PIP for 60 days

Been in my role almost 13 years. Now suddenly, I’m marked off on audits for the most ridiculous reasons. I can’t argue/ rebuttal it because I was told I’m not allowed to per mgmt. The auditor is incorrect in some of their “findings”. I feel like this... — read more
