No communication since notice

Since I was notified that my last day is June 5th, I have not been contacted by anyone. My immediate supervisor has not been contacted by anyone. He has never been told by anyone that I have been laid off. I find this to be absolutely ludicrous and completely ridiculous, but I have not heard from anyone regarding any closing process. Is there any kind of interview? Exit interview or anything? Is this normal for me not to have heard anything?

Get the last laugh

I hope that everyone is prepared for what's about to happen at Dow. The sla-ghter will begin post LPGA tour. Dow cannot afford to mu---r it's workforce right before all their customers and vendors come into Midland. So the bloodshed will happen right after. If you're in leveraged logistics, purchasing, or customer service... You best be looking for a new job.

Remember, Dow isn't a family. Your boss isn't your friend. Everyone is just glad it's happening to you and not them.

Remember, you don't have to sign a severance agreement on the spot. No matter how much they push, you get time to review. Request your personnel file under the right to know act, and never participate in your exit interview.

The last is the biggest.. They don't care about your opinion or your experience at Dow. If they did, they would have asked you before firing you. They are gauging the likelihood of you suing them. Anything you say can be used against you if you decide to pursue legal action. My suggestion is when you get called into that HR meeting, record the whole thing on your phone. Michigan is a 1 party consent state. The meeting will be hard to digest and a recording of it will help. Just don't publicize that you're doing it. Also be really annoying and take notes. The best thing we can do is publish a bunch of termination meetings from Dow to show everyone what it's really like.

HR and your boss already know and have planned your termination. They spring it on you out of the blue hoping to catch you off guard and unprotected. They have a game plan on how to handle you. Nothing you say will change their mind, you're gone no matter what you say.

Employee Loses Severance After Exit Interview Comment

An employee reportedly forfeited an $80,000 payout. This followed a casual comment made during an exit interview. The worker was initially laid off and anticipated the payment. The company reportedly changed his termination status. Consequently, the expected severance was then withdrawn.

Laid off…so now what?

Been hearing that since I’ve been with the company for 10+ years, I get two weeks of severance for every year I was employed? Is this true? If so, I heard WF has a procedure in place to actually help keep you from collecting on this severance if you start working for another company within a certain amount of time? Is this true?

Should I use up my vacation days before leaving Ford?

For those who left Ford voluntarily, how was the vacation days processed when you leave? If you have earned vacation days that were not used, did you get paid for those days in your last paycheck? If I use up all my vacation days will those days be deducted from my last paycheck? Did you have a meeting with HR such as exit interview right before you leave?

Reminder email from HR,even after Docusign completed

I got Riffed recently, few days ago completed the docuSign, surprisingly today got a reminder email from HR mentioning that they sent the DocuSign, and there's an expiry date hence I should complete and send it within due date. Did anyone experience the same (after completing the docusign getting a reminder email)..anything need to be done in this case?

IBM verification letter after RA action

Hello IBMers - For folks here who received received their employment verification letter for themselves or third party after RA action. What does the employment verification letter date state in terms of last day . For current employees it shows service reference date as start date (same date of hire). When you are separated what does IBM show ..Does the service reference date indicate last date of employment or last day worked or last day before you went on leave (if you were on LOA) ?

Exit Interviews

Curious to know if anyone ever got an "exit interview" with Intel HR before they left, either voluntary or involuntary?

In both cases, I never had an "exit interview" but I know others did get an exit interview. Is it a particular case an exit interview happens? Or Managers try to CYA when an employee leaves?

W2 form for layoff employees

For the laid-off employees in 2025, how did L3Harris provide you with your W-2? At my exit intreview HR said I will receive one via regular mail. I asked them to give me an ADP link that doesn't work for non-employees. HR blames payroll,l payroll blames HR, and I am about to call the IRS so I can get my W2.

For those who quit, what was your final two weeks like?

I'm getting closer to landing a new job and I'm curious about the exit process. Did you give the standard two-week notice, and what did that period involve? I’m mostly interested in what the company required you to do during that time, like any handover tasks, exit interviews, or system access changes.

12/19 Exits - Don't Forget to Revoke Elec Dist of Tax Forms

Developing a checklist of what to do pretty quick. Remember if you have Electronic Distribution set for W2 and 1095-C, you need to go to payroll site and select TAX FORMS and then opt (radio button at bottom of page) to Revoke Electronic Distribution of EACH Form.

Happy exiting. I am still sick and mad at my riff but trying to adjust.

Restricted Shares and termination of employment

Hi I understand from reading bp share policy, upon termination of bp employment, bp has discretion to allow its ex-employee to keep the restricted shares (if they are a good leaver etc). Does anyone know who's decision it is to allow the employee to keep the shares? Any other insights as to what process / considerations for the decision. I am getting no information from my line manager.
