I know its tough right now.......

But you owe it to AT&T to work as hard as you ever have until you know for sure if you are safe or not. Leadership can't have profits wane while cuts are being made or they may miss out on some year end bonus. So, chop chop.

Rethinking Resolutions Video - Did anyone see it

It was a waste of time so I ended it early. They spend money on this garbage to appear as if they are doing something for employees when it is worthless showing how out of touch top management is

One of the best financial decisions as a retiree that

I have made lately is picking up TDS and USM common and preferred stock. Cashed out my ATT 401K match every quarter and moved it into something else. I also dumped the ATT employee wireless plan for a much better and cheaper service provider in... — read more

I stopped worrying about layoffs

I used to worry about rumors but not anymore. It is impossible to work while constantly thinking about layoffs. ATT very successfully avoids WARN with many small cuts and it is only a matter of time before someone gets cut. Nobody is safe. Isn't it... — read more

Double standards frustrate me the most

Of the many managers I've had so far, only one didn't apply double standards to his employees. This is what frustrates me the most and defines what makes a manager a bad manager. Some employees who put in a real day's work for an honest dollar are... — read more

Why the animosity?

I see a lot of anger, hate, and animosity towards management (of all levels) on here. I don’t get it. I was a bargained employee for 20 years and had as many managers. All competent, and most were decent hard working folks. I’ve been in mgt for 6... — read more
