Don't be surprised if the dreaded email hits at the end of the day for a Tues Jan 17,2023 call. Management not Craft.

@5ohc+1kFdZMrn - It has happen like this in the past where you would get an email on Friday about a meeting for Monday and then get contacted by supervisor for those affected and then later that day others in the group get informed about the layoff and that some folks in the group had gotten laid off and that you where safe this time.
OP is a troll. The Sche-at doesn't happen like this. Ignore this shill...
Most will be notified via a 1:1 call with their manager by 13:00 CT. Unless your manager schedules a meeting, versus calling you directly, do not expect an email. If selected you will likely receive an email on Wed with details about the next steps.
No emails will be sent on Monday since it is holiday and it is not your supervisor who will be sending them. Stop spreading fake news.
"Most supervisors have been told to send notifications on Monday afternoon. Mine will go out on Tuesday Morning. HR recommended all notifications to be done by 3pm Tuesday."

People, relax!!!! There are plenty of jobs out there! Seriously, you will be fine!
“ These are scary times in which we live. The job market has all but dried up, good luck finding decent work“
Not accurate.
Most recent jobs report showed the US economy added another 223,000 jobs and the unemployment rate fell to 3.5%.
Stop being an alarmist. Jobs are out there.
"Is there any likelihood at this time that craft will be impacted this year even though T is looking to hire more field technicians perhaps replacing the most senior with contract/term personnel?"
My guess would be craft jobs with big head counts in the ET's in Conyers(IOF) and Testing Techs in Ethernet Services. These positions are probably in the final processes of automation and then contract out the personnel to troubleshoot/provision. There are a lot of contract companies out there that are handling the big telecom companies outsourced work with seasoned telecom people that had retired or been laid off.
I wouldn't imagine cutting in the CO's any further until the TDM switches have been removed.

"The reason I stated this is that someone else in my group with 40 years service said his lump sum/cash balance was not impacted by the segment rate increases. Are you Legacy T?"
Yes, I was Legacy T.
With the mountain of debt and increased competition the only switch to pull to decrease expenses is headcount! AT&T headcount will be under 140k by EOY!! Management will still be too top heavy.
Not true. Not all pensions are the same. I started in 1999 and would have been adversely affected. I left in November 28th to save my pension.
Hence the word "Some" will be affected.
The reason I stated this is that someone else in my group with 40 years service said his lump sum/cash balance was not impacted by the segment rate increases. Are you Legacy T?
I started in 1985 and my lump sum balance dropped significantly which has forced me to opt for the monthly payout which has not decreased.
We were told today the notice will go out Jan 17 for my org (Legg org) and that only individuals getting laid off will be notified. So if you don’t hear anything, you’re safe, this time.
In response to:
"...... That being said to the best of my knowledge if you did not have 15 hrs service as of 1997 you defaulted to the cash balance which was not affected by the segment rate increases....."

No email being sent on 1/13. No email on 1/16 as it’s a official company holiday. Emails and Or notifications will occur on 1/17.
The unfortunate part of all this is, some that will be laid off, mainly legacy T with 20 years or more, will get a double-whammy. Not only did they lose 30-40% of their pension lump sum by not leaving before 11/30/22, now they will have to deal with losing their job.
Legacy T craft - Just retired on11/30 had 42 years service and would have been adversely affected by the segment rate increases if I didn’t retire by 11/30 That being said to the best of my knowledge if you did not have 15 hrs service as of 1997 you defaulted to the cash balance which was not affected by the segment rate increases

Has anyone heard anything today? It’s been silent, morale seems down.
No calls or emails today. Not saying it’s not going to happen, I just didn’t receive one in my org. Who knows? Probably Tuesday. They will let you have the nice long weekend. At least if I would have gotten notice I could have told the boss I’m not working all weekend.

I personally new of several co-workers that were going to be impacted by the lump sum hit and decided to stay. They took a chance by staying because they didn't want to look for another job and keep their pension lump sum in tact. Their hope is to stay for another 10 years and hope their pension increases. So sad
I hope and pray that they will be okay.
This is the kind of cr-p that makes me hate my life.
What you described is the process. There are cases where the audience will be larger so someone higher than your immediate manger may do the talking. Likely someone from HR would be on a call at this level. Also, the std is two week notice now, the 60 day thing is no longer and I think the 60 day thing could have had something to do with the WARN act. In any case with folks having the “keys” to so many important systems, etc, not sure why T allows anyone two hang around for 2 weeks. All access should be removed upon notice. Can you imagine someone making a “mistake” that causes a widespread outage and it is reported that It was caused by an employee that was surplused. Really does not make any sense
Because I’ve been through this I can say:
My boss was notified Friday at the end of the day 01/25/2019 of whom in his team was done.
He called me/us Monday 01/28/2019 at 08:05am, he had to read a script saying that I was on the list and my last day was 03/28.
They were instructed not to discuss anything about the layoff and refer you to HR for any questions for legal reasons.
No email, no meeting set up.
This was my personal experience things probably changed since.
Better than good luck, be proactive in the future, keep your skills up to date and learn new skills.
... "Was told today our org will be notified on the 17 th"
Can you share which Org?
I'm in ATS under Irene Shannon and have not heard anything.
True

These are scary times in which we live. The job market has all but dried up, good luck finding decent work. No one is safe!
Layoff email expected….don’t be surprised
Sounds like you do knot know for certain when the notification will come out.
We know for sure that ATT Technology and Operations (not sure the org for this) will be notified on 1/17 (it is on the insider site). I know two people who were told they will receive their notification on a different day (though that seems odd)
They usually schedule the layoff meetings in the morning and then another call after that mid day for non impacted.
Truth, meeting invites going out next week, meetings for impacted and non-impacted for the following week.
There is nothing more motivating than waiting for layoff notices, bosses are saying focus on on the work, employees having more don't give a f@#$ weeks.
Proof? I guess we will see.
