"The unemployment rate isn’t because there aren’t high paying vacancies, it’s because many refuse to work."

Called "retirement". You need to learn demographics and stop watching Tucker.

Not much info here about the scale of yesterday’s surplus. Seems like very limited number got affected. Nobody in my group got the notice and I’m in L’egg org.

If you didn’t get the notice today…..keep looking over your shoulder.

Replying to:

“Sad but got the notice today. Under Mcelfresh/Welday/Townes. Sad I liked the job it’s a shame really. Not a good day. Life is full of surprises. Good Luck to everyone and I hope you have better luck than me“

You’ll he surprised at who's looking for good working talent right now. The labor market has changed. The unemployment rate isn’t because there aren’t high paying vacancies, it’s because many refuse to work. Take it as a new adventure, your next job may be a lot less stressful.

“ I'm not even sure what business unit I'm in …”

I don’t mean to sound harsh, but not shocked you were targeted.

Best of luck to you regardless.

Layoff notifications are done in waves by organization. RAN organization was told it would be Q1-2023. That leaves us hanging until either Feb or Mar.

Every VP business unit is impacted. At a minimum, 10% reduction across the board.

You will be just fine. It's hard getting let go but in about a week you will realize it is a relief. There are plenty of jobs out there and you will find one in no time.

I saw the writing on the wall last month when they announced that they were going to be layoffs and true to my prediction I am one of those affected.

I'm not even sure what business unit I'm in these days things have changed around so often. The last thing I remember being part of was the transformation office but I think we've kind of rolled up under some bad areas from there

It's been a nice ride
