It does seem AT&T has been dinged quite a bit due to business practices. That should signal a leadership failure to the board. Alas, Stanley’s gonna take his big “success” bonus as always.

I have not checked thin incident from early December for —SEC Charge of Selectively Disclosing Material Information to Wall St. Analysts — I have not checked webphone to see if the two guys called out in that incident are still employed. lets not forget about the 2.5B deal in Mexico. Stephenson did much damage with the Company. now our CEO is just as weaker than water.

One more reason beyond the fact that Stephenson put AT&T into enormous debt by the CNN/Time Warner/Direct TV deals and lets not forget about the T-Mobile fiasco.

Yet he retired with a pension valued at $64 million with an additional $27.6 million in deferred earnings.
