It does seem AT&T has been dinged quite a bit due to business practices. That should signal a leadership failure to the board. Alas, Stanley’s gonna take his big “success” bonus as always.
I guess att is to busy coming up with uam and other great software.
boy you would think all those georgia tech computer science majors and engineering degrees att could have an original thought.
The fine could have been $600 mill. This sounds like a bonus for Stankey.
Why won’t the board do something about a major change?
Just one of several multi million dollar payouts in recent months because of poor leadership and execution. I have not checked thin incident from early December for —SEC Charge of Selectively Disclosing Material Information to Wall St. Analysts — I have not checked webphone to see if the two guys called out in that incident are still employed. Many days after it broke they were still employed
lets not forget about the 2.5B deal in Mexico. Stephenson did much damage with the Company. now our CEO is just as weaker than water.
Take it from the pension fund
Stephenson is also a contracted advisor at a cool $1M per year plus bonuses! What a sham.
No, that comes out of a different place, normally not one big cash dump so no.
One more reason beyond the fact that Stephenson put AT&T into enormous debt by the CNN/Time Warner/Direct TV deals and lets not forget about the T-Mobile fiasco.
Yet he retired with a pension valued at $64 million with an additional $27.6 million in deferred earnings.
Pocket change to at&t. Just throw it on the $135B debt pile.
