Consider how bad they are at advertising our products to customers - they use that same level of skill selling the company goals to the employees.

Whoever has time to watch videos doesn’t have enough work to do. Find something productive to do during work hours. Videos are for late evenings and weekends.

Same reason folks used to be drawn to see staged train wrecks over a century ago. The difference is nobody (well there was one recorded spectator fatality) got hurt watching the steam engines plow into each other.
