Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

For those that retired in Nov 22 - Did you get your Lump Sum yet?

I retired in November 2022 with hoards of others before the lump went down due to the stinkin' Feds.

Still waiting for a date when Toxic-T will be paying the lump sum from Fidelity's system. I call Fidelity and they say 6 to 8 more weeks! Meanwhile, system says, "processing"...

Has Toxic-T finally run the pension fund out of $ ?

Mine came in early February of 2022 after retiring in November of 2021. Be patient and plan how to want to invest that money.

Don't hold still for it, call Fidelity now and demand your money. It's your money, use it now when you need it most. They cannot deny you your lump sum. How much you gitten?

Retired 10/31. Check was processed 12/5 and I received it about 5 business days after. Check was made out to new investment firm to avoid getting taxed.

I believe they have 60 days from the date they receive your paperwork for dispersal of the lump sum to cut you a check plus mail delivery time.

Retired 11/30 s/w Fidelity a couple of days ago and they said it was in the final calculation stage but in all honesty I think it has been in that stage quite awhile now. The cookie cutter time frame is 6-8 weeks when you leave. They generally get updates once a week, usually Tuesday. I don’t think Fidelity told the OP 6-8 additional weeks from now unless there are some issues

It shouldn’t take that long but with the large number of people that left, not surprised. I think a lot of people are glad to be out of here.

"Are you not even able to get by 6 months without an emergency fund?"

That is not the point. The point is, does Toxic-T have the $ or has the Stink looted it already?

It's my money! Not the Stinks!
