This company not only does not care about its employees, but it seems that it cares less and less about its customers, which is unbelievable. Will the leadership finally do something to stop losing customers?

2005 we had a visit from a district manager and she said straight out that “we can get customers anywhere “
“So many posts doubting the churn and stating how bad things are. I don’t doubt there are issues - but do provide some facts to support your comments that things are so bad. With such a large company, many don’t have a view beyond their own groups, or a small circle beyond that. Not to mention some work in areas with no visibility to com0any performance. Very interested in what you folks see that suggests things are so bad. Don’t tell me about the obvious such as debt, failed acquisitions, and how bad randy and stank are. Give me something solid, not your opinions.”
Please stop….your embarrassing yourself with your ignorance. Can your 4 posts on this topic please be enough to convince yourself that you are absent basic human business logic ?
Depends what customers. My bigger concerns with the company are how they play billing games. When I came to the company many moons ago, I complained about how cryptic the billing was. Today, it is as cryptic, and items still often "fall off" contract, or when contracts are applied, they are applied incorrectly. I can't imagine how many million of dollars this company has obtained speciously.

“Haven’t we had record low churn? What area of the biz is losing customers at a pace that causes you concern? What are the loses you are seeing?”
This person must work in the motor pool…
“We gaining customers. You gunna have to whine about something else.”
English as second language ?
We gaining customers. You gunna have to whine about something else.
Duh, of course T doesn't care about customers, outside of their ability to pay, The most telling is all the dark patterns T uses to keep billing customers, and make it a major hassle to cancel, or outright lie to them about service and fees.. In fairness most major corporations don't either, but T is almost at the level Cabelco
Only a lemming would believe self reported churn numbers in a fictional financial report….please take a basic business course and look around.
how about all that automation they were touting all these years you won't need employees just automate everything.
company reaches new level of stupid every day.

First time I posted the churn question. I don’t doubt there are issues with T. I just provided info from the financial statements. Please fill me in on what your seeing.”
Another id--t with no clue about how bad a shape the company is in. Go back to your moms basement.
Hmm, wonder who created this toxic work environment?
It all changed when SBC decided to tie individual contributors bonuses to the MSOC dashboard with useless metrics and useless numbers for their ranking. They de-incentivized doing the right thing and taking care of the customers due to their bad policies.
Despite the rhetoric about customer rules and safety matters at the end of day only metrics matter. Have had a repetitive experience with this over the past decade, even with a frequent change in my management/org. Insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result. Here’s your Sign!
“AT&T cares about its customers. That's why we are growing mobile customers and fiber customers. Way to go AT&T.”
Fairytale quote of the century….
The whiners are the true Titanic. They doing down with their big mouths screaming.

T doesn’t really care about customers. Never has, never will. It’s a fact. I’ve occupied multiple operational roles at Levels 0, 1 and 2 and it’s been the same at every level and in every role. We use customer service internally to justify actions, projects, performance and agendas, but we are not a customer focused company. Some organizations are very closely tied to actual customer satisfaction where it’s quite difficult to not give a sh$t, others (like Network Engineering & Ops and others) have no real concept of actual customer service and measure themselves against “internal” customer service with other orgs and run around patting themselves on the back for a job well done. It’s a joke and has been for a very long time. Go ask any customer directly for feedback and you likely will hear the same. Business, residential, enterprise, doesn’t matter. It will remain like this until EVERY internal organization is held to the same customer service standards and metrics. Until then, expect more of the same cr-p.
T doesn’t know how to care for customers. They have been the only game in town for decades. Now competition is everywhere and they don’t k ow how to respond.
We are in third place between the big three wireless carriers. That should tell you something.
I know I’m a technician outside and the only thing our management seems to be worried about is WiFi mapping and geo scores no worried about losing customers due to not upgrading network to fiber

This poster consistently asks this question about churn….for gods sake, look around fool. The company is the titanic…only people like you and the C Suite seem to want to ignore the painfully obvious….
They care both about customers and employees, they simply don’t and can’t do anything to retain either.
I know they lost me for good as a customer. Nothing they can do can get me back. I just want to stay away as far as I can from their billing.
cable company has an app on apple tv and roku and I get tv pretty cheap these days and a lot simpler billing.

Yep, they will pi-s the employees this time. If its not the customers, its the employees. It goes on and on. Get the paycheck, dont think about it. You are not paid enough to think about it.
