Which would you choose? I'm not sure how much truth there is to the rumor that severance goes away after Chapter 11.
Stevie Severance
Ole SB got $2.2m severance paid out equally over 24 months, plus cash cash ABP bonus and family healthcare for the 24 months. Not too shabby for running a company in the ground.

The same thing happened at Tandy/ Radio Shack.
No surprises. Identical thing happened to Radio Shack, it’s like a rerun of a train wreck in slow motion. Everyone thought it would be okay. Didn’t turn out so well. Especially if you had a battery of the month club card. Not good.
Message from your former leader

Severance will disappear after Chapter 11
Just remember when Chapter 11 hits and severance goes away you were offered a VRIF when you are walking to your car after a IRIF hits you.
Don't just sign up for the irif, do your research
Don't just sign up for the volunteer irif, speak to a laywer first. There are plenty of lawyers that offer free advice, even online. If you sign up for something like this, you could miss out on benefits you would normally receive if you were irif'd... — read more

If the severance is the same as IRIF, then it’s not worth leaving. If you volunteer you won’t be eligible for unemployment. OP: @at+1knsb3cc4
