Layoff Mechanics

How does US Bank let you know you're being laid off? Does HR send you an email? Boss call you? HR set up a Teams call with you? Usually happen 1st thing in the morning or late afternoon?

Contact Center exempt from RTO?

The contact center teams (24 HB) are mostly remote, with many in the southern states where we have no presence. Newer employees, grades 6/7. Word on the street is that they are exempt from RTO. Can anyone confirm? If so, why?

3/18 it has started

I understand layoffs started on Friday, 3/15, and are expected to continue the week of 3/18. Platform tech had some. In some areas, there were supposed to be some more notifications on 3/18, with leadership calls scheduled on 3/19, maybe to talk... — read more

New VPN

The new VPN will be tracking your location. It will capture your “home IP” and if it detects you are off it you will need to get the new IP approved. To the remote folk with no “hub” at ELAVON/USB… the end is near! It was a fun ride. Exec... — read more

Has anyone heard any news about layoffs in locations outside of the US? I'm curious whether their soft layoff RTO tactic is in addition to larger reductions.

Chicago RTO

Has anyone in the Chicago area been notified that they need to RTO? Will 30 miles be the radius used for our particular hub, or will it be something shorter be used given the longer commute times? I’m assuming our hub office is the downtown Rookery... — read more

Marketing Reorg?

The announced marketing changes will take place this month. Does anyone have additional information? When is it happening? Any particular groups impacted? Will it address the rumors that BB wants to be more like RPS?

RTO is just the job cut strategy

Nothing more, nothing less. And some tax cuts for offices full of people spending money around hubs as a bonus. How do you perform, how competent you are, how productive you are - none of it matters whatsoever.

Where are you at?

Shock, denial, frustration, depression, experiment, decision, integration. Where are you at with RTO? Because if you live in any of the first 4 descriptions it’s rough.

OK for Now

I'm fully remote, but there's no HUBs in my state and the nearest US Bank office is well over 50 miles from my home. Per my boss, no changes for me, at least none in the near future. Probably the long term outlook isn't the best, but I thing I'll... — read more

The HUBs have been announced

They are in the Workforce Strategy FAQs through MyHR. The radius is 30 miles. Employees who are remote right now, even if they were hired as a remote worker, and live within 30 miles of a HUB will be required to go in 3 days a week. Remote employees... — read more

McKinsey Martyr and quiet layoffs

Dear US bank Mc and board, Lemme get this straight: Us bank docked my “total rewards” compensation package by -14%; “gave” me an increase of 2% (all of which my manager apologized for) —which won’t cover parking much less gas — and you have the... — read more
