So this round of layoffs wasn’t enough? According to rumors, more than 7000 were let go. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was more. And, of course, there will be no break for us lowly workers who survived this round. One should just give up on this job altogether.

No layoffs for rest of year. And the severance package did not change. It is based on years of service and grade. They now pay health ins at the same rate as when employed (you pay what you pay now) for up to 6 months. That ins change is better than plan a year ago.
I heard from someone laid off they got 12 weeks severance no matter how long they were here. It is 12 weeks max 16 and under. I know someone laid off last year and he had 20 weeks full bonus and matching 401k. Plus they messed up and provided him healthcare for the 4 months.
So thanks to this site I and most of us hopefully had time to prepare and if laid off it will be a happy good bye. The same folks are still in leadership decisions making horrible decisions.
