Anyone else find it funny these layoffs always happen right after the giving campaign push. Not only are they planning to let people go and not tell them, but they also want them to donate first. This place is a joke.

Any idea if the information about this, like the actual income limit, is available on the Intranet or something? I’d love to read the bs wording they use. I’m also curious what happens to the donated funds that don’t get donated to an employee in need?
So - has anyone ever actually tried to apply for the EAF? Did you know there is an income limit? And that the income limit is higher than the salaries than a lot of the people who are donating. So, likely, even if you ever need it - you won’t be able to get anything from the EAF. I’ll be honest, I stopped donating when I learned that.
Exec leadership gets incentives to get their teams to participate. Thats why it’s always a hard push to have 100% participation for something that’s supposed to be voluntary participation. Sick of being forced to participate so an exec wins a prize!
Every year now we get an email from our senior leadership telling us that we are REQUIRED to participate even if we decline to participate. I'm pretty sure it's all about engagement numbers at this point.
There were supposed to come out of the 2025 bonus paycheck so I guess there donations go away now? Maybe that’s a win for the bank too not having to match the donations either. Take the credit for the donations and then not follow through? Sounds about right.
I’ve donated every other year to get the match and the extra vacation day, but this year I didn’t even decline to participate.
And engagement numbers are manipulated anyways. If you don't participate (perhaps because you donate or volunteer outside of U.S. Bank, or for other reasons) they log a decline to participate without your consent... then they count that as engagement. Ethically bankrupt bank.
This is probably one of the manipulated statistics they provide to Ethisphere, but there is no oversight. Then again why should they, the check cleared.
