Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

“More with less”

I feel like I’m walking this fine line between trying to do enough not to get pipped/fired, and trying to make sure that I’m on the list if another round of layoffs hit my department. I don’t want to lose my job, but I have no desire to survive another layoff and be expected to magically be able to do the work my laid off colleagues were hired to do. I could understand the layoffs if they really didn’t need that work to be done, but it’s just unconscionable to deny people paid employment and dump all that now unpaid work on the remaining employees. If you don’t want to pay for the work AC, don’t expect it to be done.

Same. I’m disgusted every day lately. I used to be proud working here but now I’m just in disbelief and ashamed every day.

I have been trying to find a different job since June. I wouldn’t get a lot of severance if I were laid off. First I was looking for a fully remote position with the same pay. When I realized that wasn’t likely going to happen, I started including hybrid. I get a lot of calls a few interviews and nada. I had one offer for 25,000 less than I am making now. No other offers, a lot of ghosting. I am networking, my resume has been professionally refurbished. Nothing is happening.

I feel the same, I don’t want to get fired, but I don’t want to do the work of my coworkers. That got laid off.

I hope I get laid off next because it’s too much having to do another person’s work

I rather start over than this where you do more for same pay while senior leadership compensation is up over 42%
