People have literally fallen off the face of the earth. There were no comms sent out indicating what happened, who is impacted, when their last day is or an alternate SME to work with. Teams have deliverables that were committed for Q4 and no one seems to know who to work with now that the point of contact is no longer at the bank. I still have meeting invites on my calendar from people that were laid off, learning about their departure when I click on their name and see “presence unknown”. I am all for “your employer is not your friend / family” but this is setting everyone (including the organization) up to fail. If we fail to deliver output, it will further spiral and cascade impact and require more layoffs to appease shareholders. You simply cannot outsource subject matter expertise and tenure to some junior developer in India.

Is that what Presence unknown is? I started to notice a lot, but thought they were just offline. Didn’t know they were gone. That’s a lot of people

Internal employee directory isn't being updated and many invites sent by now laid off employees are still out there. Such a sh-t show! Thanks for the tip on Teams status.
It is painful to watch a once great company being run like a trailer park. AC and GK really sank this ship fast but guess that's just a part of who they are - their menial values and upbringing.
