Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Not near a hub? Goodbye!

It’s becoming very clear those not near a hub are targeted during “performance based” layoffs. Even really good employees and SME’s. Such a shame. I just hate the bank can’t be straight forward that they’re targeting remote employees, but I get they cannot say that or everyone would be up in arms.

Feels like once they finish RTO for your state / department, and you’re not near a hub, it’s goodbye for you.

Florida has a cheap cost band, so they might ignore you.

The contortion needed to mark down the WFH workers must be amazing. They were definitely our high performers in EFCC. Not surprisingly, it's easier to have high quality scores when your workspace isn't constantly being disrupted. They were not laid off due to performance to my knowledge in EFCC, however. The email indicated that the department is withdrawing from West Coast all together.

When would senior leadership ever admit that anyone's job is in jeopardy? Seems like they would always deny, even if they knew otherwise. It is a bit of a futile question to ask.

I'm a manager that has both HUB and NonHUB staff. I have not been given any impression from my senior management that any NonHUB staff are in jeopardy. I've asked. I've only been told that any new hires must be HUB based.

Unsure if that is consistent across business lines, but I trust I'm hearing the truth from my leadership.

I'm in Florida fully remote not near a HUB or client center and I'm still here. So when are us Florida employees going to be dealt with?

Not necessarily, people who have been following RTO religiously since March have also been laid off. They don’t have any strategy or vision. Its all just numbers and heads to them, they don’t care for people or the families.
