Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Transparency

This is for any executive management lurking out there - you laid a bunch of people off. The damage is done, a lot of us are miserable. Congratulations.

Own it. Stop with the secrecy. Broad communications at a company level that they happened and let managers email about impacted lines of business. It's hard enough to watch your long time coworkers and friends lose their jobs, but it's even harder when you're firing people and not communicating and leaving the rest of us to scramble. Own your decisions and be transparent about them.

The onus is not the employee to check the layoffs board. Why can't the company make a company wide announcement on the intranet home page about the layoffs. Just get it over with in one fell swoop.

You give them way too much credit for potentially being caring human beings capable of honesty and transparency. Are you new to US Bank? I gave up on leadership a couple years ago. They want me gone they can pay me a year of severance! We used to be happy and now we’re all miserable.

@xiq+1v8cXHHf there's an Organizational Announcement site sharepoint on the intranet that posts all orgs announcements... every single area had multiple emails go out last week that you can read

What departments were hit? Not heard anything about this but have always known it is between now and the holidays when the cuts come. Every year it happens.
