Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Get out now

If you are still there, get out now. There is NO job security at USB. They overspent and now must cut expenses fast. More rounds of non-performance based layoffs are likely to come.

The culture is also going fast. Have plan B ready.

They are laying off and spending money in other areas unwisely. They are trying to "modernize" their infrastructure but there are failures all over - no stability anymore. They are taking tried and true systems and trying to replace them when they could stay on what they have, have reliability, back-up and spend a LOT less money. I know of one instance where they want to onboard a product - current system $500,000 - modernized system $18,000,000 at a minimum. Ridiculous

Is this based on anything other than rumor or have you heard something concrete.

A lot of us would if there was anywhere to go. The job market is in the toilet and it's the worst time of year to try to find a new job. End of year cost freezes and all. Hopefully those getting canned in the next round at least get severance to carry them through.

It sounds like there’s a big round coming in November. Be ready!
