California based employee, so not gonna interrupt anything while penalties rack up…
But still, I gave 4 weeks notice and helped hire my replacement. It’s kind of insane

Did anyone get severance from HCL? I've heard of at least one, but that person worked for about 3 years after the State Farm "rebranding ". I was let go after 2 years and 1 month, but didn't receive anything.
So happened to get to see an email I wasn't supposed too. Severance packages coming for leadership in Claims. Auto and Fire! I did not get to read the whole thing but sounds like it will be targeted at the SM and TM level. CMs may be getting shown the door or demoted. Basically said with anticipated changes, they have too many leaders and want to trim the fat. Basically dump any tenured folks left. Dream come true for a lot of us, a nightmare for others. Missed the dates on when but sounded like sometime in September. Stay patient!
If you've been laid off and if you've signed an agreement or if you're just about to get one soon, read your agreement. The non-disparagement part is especially important to look at. There are laws about how it's supposed to be written.

Negotiate, get a better package, know your rights.
Don't roast me, but I got an offer to get hired back after getting impacted last year. Ultimately Intel pays more for my role than anywhere else. For the life of me I can't find the percentage of severance I'd have to pay back relative to the months from getting laid off. Does anyone have that information? Has Intel actually enforced it?
Anyone very interested in the severance?
Looking for real advice on steps to take in preparation for a possible layoff. What files/information to save, what resources to take advantage of while we still have them, etc. My biggest concern is a lack of medical and dental insurance for my family since I'm the one providing those benefits. Has anyone successfully negotiated an extension of benefits as part of their severance?
Nebraska Wesleyan announced the elimination of 14 positions. These job cuts are part of necessary budget reductions. The university faces difficulties from declining enrollment and rising operational costs. Affected employees were offered severance packages and continued health insurance. A faculty advisory work group has been formed to review academic programs and positions.

I read so many posts here and still have some questions…
The only Franklin Templeton phone skill still being serviced by FIS is the Retirement skill, Everything else has moved back to FT. Due to meeting their own staffing needs, FT has not given an end date to FIS. That leaves those Customer Service staff members hanging, waiting to hear if they have been hired back at FT or will they be laid off and get severance from FIS. Those who have moved back are scrambling to get set up to take calls, assist training new hires, acquiring new/legacy staff and standing a call center back up that was supposed to be handled by the contract with FIS.
Let's give a big round applause for another FIS failure didn't have to be, costing more jobs and another blow to the share price when it comes out.
Where can I check?
I actually WANT to get laid off! Anyone have tips on how to get on that list? Long story short, I'm so tired of the bs but want to get that severance.
Any kind of severance or at least unemployment?
Summit Beverage is acquiring Hayden Beverage Company's Montana assets. This acquisition will result in layoffs for Hayden Beverage's Montana employees. Approximately 120 employees in Montana are affected by these job cuts. Affected staff will receive severance packages, including one month's pay.

I am sorry. I can only speak for the Tech people at FIS, but I am tired of watching my co-workers get laid off or moved to third party consultants to get laid off without severance. I am tired of wondering if I will have a job next quarter. I am tired of upper management lying to our faces. Those off-shore consultant firms pay their employees not even a quarter of what we make. If they are going to lay me off, it is not going to be to hire someone over seas making a quarter of my salary. What does everyone think?

Are there any? We have in writing from a manager that there were forced stack rankings. WFC doing bad faith IMs to avoid layoff severance. Anyone talked to a lawyer yet? Our group would like to join.
I am likely planning on resigning from my position sometime soon (partially because it’s become a nightmare and also due to a family issue). Is there any harm in volunteering for the next RIF? I see many dates on here (April, May, June, etc.) I don’t know if volunteering for the next RIF will make my already tense situation at work even worse. If I am going to quit, I would hate to do it too soon and miss out on a severance package. Thoughts?
very taxing on managers and will eventually be a large lawsuit. my guess there are people high up in HR that are pi---d off and speaking up.
This week has felt incredibly heavy. Several people I know walked out for the last time on March 31, and it’s been hard to watch. Some were lucky enough to retire on their own terms, but others left with severance they never asked for. It’s heartbreaking, and honestly, I don’t know how much more people can endure as this drags on all the way to 2028.
I want to take the severance and go to another company and double dip on income
I got bad rating of DNM expectations. Am I gonna get fired with no severance or PIP or silent fire.
I am with the bank for 5 years and do not want to lose severance
Any help will be helpful for looking for jobs elsewhere.
How does the benefits work after the 60 day WARN period? Do you take COBRA for health insurance or by any chance do you get full benefits until your severance runs off? I.e. Citi contributes to your medical benefits until the end of the severance pay period
Thanks
I was laid off last month and received severance. I will also apply for unemployment, and I know that unemployment doesn't start to pay until after the severance # weeks passes. Do I have to show that I'm looking for a job during that severance period, or am I able to take a break for a few weeks before starting my job search? I just want to make sure I can still qualify for unemployment in a few months if I don't start looking for a job right away. I'm in Minnesota if that matters.
I got paid on March 13 (my last regular pay day), and again on march 20 (the beginning of severance). It’s been 2 weeks and I didn’t get paid again, I did not take their lump sum.
Anyone having trouble with this or have any answers on this or on who to call?
If there was a change in control (this includes Cash Severance, Pro rata Bonus Payment, accelerated stock vesting etc) OR if they were termed for "no cause" :
Sarah London : $42M
Drew Asher: $25M
Chris Koster: $12M
Susan Smith: $8M
Tanya McNally: $6M
This is what the severance looks like for executives, peanuts for us!
Charter Communications is laying off 176 employees in Maine. These workers were informed of the decision on Wednesday. The company is transitioning work from its Portland call center. Southeast Kansas Mental Health Center will terminate 23 staff members. Salary reductions are also being implemented for remaining staff and officers. The organization announced its separation from Ashley Clinic and Yates Center Dental. These actions aim to stabilize SEKMHC and ensure continuity of services. The changes follow a retroactive rate adjustment for 2025 and ongoing financial turmoil.

Your alarm goes off at 6 AM. There's an email from "Oracle Leadership." You've never gotten a message from that sender before. It says your job is gone, today is your last day, and severance details will arrive by DocuSign. By the time you finish reading, your company laptop is already locked.
This happened to up to 30,000 Oracle employees this week. Oracle reported $17.2 billion in revenue last quarter, its best in 15 years. And it still fired nearly 1 in 5 of its people. The stock went up 6% today.
Oracle owes over $108 billion. The company signed a $156 billion deal to build AI data centers over five years, mostly for OpenAI (the company behind ChatGPT). That requires buying roughly 3 million specialized computer chips. Two years ago, Oracle spent $6.9 billion a year on this kind of construction. This year it's $50 billion.
The 30,000 people who got that email are funding the gap. Investment bank TD Cowen estimates the layoffs will free up $8 to $10 billion in cash flow, money going straight into chips and construction. Oracle filed a $2.1 billion restructuring plan with regulators in March, and nearly $1 billion had already been spent before the emails went out.
Lenders are getting nervous. The cost to insure Oracle's debt against default has spiked to levels last seen during the 2009 financial crisis. Barclays downgraded Oracle's debt in November, warning the company is one step from "junk" status, the point where lenders consider you a serious default risk. Some banks have stopped lending to Oracle for these projects altogether.
The gamble gets worse. CNBC reported on March 9 that OpenAI, Oracle's biggest customer for all of this, is already looking at newer, faster chips from Nvidia. Oracle ordered the current generation and spent billions building out a massive Texas facility. OpenAI may not fully expand into it. The chips improve faster than the buildings go up.
The severance letter says sacrificed employees must return equipment within 5 business days of the last working day to receive severance. OpenText told our former colleagues they would provide them with the box and prepaid label. That sounds straightforward.
However, I know one person who has yet to receive the box and label. They are well beyond the 5-day limit.
Another person received the box three days after being axed. But, the box included two separate forms of instructions that both say in bold font they had 10 days. One set of instructions explicitly says to refer to the other set on how and what to return. So there is no mistake that two different documents stating 10 days were included.
How can the Waterloo braintrust enforce the 5 days with conflicting instructions and/or delay in providing the promised return kits?
Thoughts on your offer if you received it?
Never saw such a bad Severance pay in any company
I read when FB was in charge he changed the severance package from 2 week to one week per service year. Is that still the case under ML with the recent layoffs? If it went back to 2 weeks, still capped at 26 weeks?
Anyone aware of someone successful in negotiating severance pay. 3 weeks pay for 3 years is ridiculous.

We are a team of 7 and 6 of us received an meeting invitation from HR individually for tomorrow morning. My manager is very confused about it too and colleagues at office strongly thinks it has to do with the lay offs. Its better to get severance and leave this place at this point. I'll update tomorrow about the outcome but it's 99% we are being eliminated.
If I didn’t get laid off I was going to leave by end of the fiscal year. It was all I could do to stay as long as I did after the Sept layoffs. The work just piled up with hardly anyone left to do it, but if I stayed long enough to be let go, the $ reward would be pretty nice. I was ecstatic to finally get the nod. My severance is maxed so I’ll be using it as a paid 6 month sabbatical while I get ready to retire. Hasta la vista Oracle and Aloha Larry.
Will there be warning if anything bad happens?
