How is Oliver still here?

How have senior execs not seen past Oliver's BS the past year? He's disliked by customers and HV employees, not only in NA, but around the globe. Morale is at an all time low, and quite frankly he is a danger to future HV business. It doesn't... — read more

The NetApp inmates are running the asylum

Fun fact: Neil McGowan, who was brought on as our Chief Revenue Officer this year and then let go several months later for a grave HR violation, is and was in the process of filing RICO charges against his former employer NetApp, who also fired... — read more

NetApp?

Has anyone else noticed the shifts since NetApp crew joined? It seems like there have been significant unsavory changes across the board, and it's been pretty quiet from those who usually speak up. Could it be that anyone raising concerns is now... — read more

Another round coming

With SM being let go 2 days ago and being replaced with a "transformation" specialist, there will be lots of layoffs. I suspect 20% of the field force... It will be an ugly time.

I guess I should be grateful

If things weren't as bad as they are here, I wouldn't have gotten off my a-s and started searching for a new job. Starting next week, I'll be out of here with a nice pay raise. Nothing spectacular, but still. Not to mention, escaping this toxic... — read more

Not stable

Layoffs every year! Sad....great people...poor management and direction. Again... layoffs in Jan 2024 for really solid employees who have dedicated much to be part of the organization.

Suzy M announced the reorganization ‘24

Suzy says that HV is poised to become the #1 hybrid cloud company by 2027. LMFAO They just let go some of the finest and brightest people that know anything with regards to cloud and AI. The schmucks left behind will certainly sc--w this company into... — read more

Too many good people were let go

Too many good employees who did a great job. It's always the wrong ones being shown the door. Some things will sadly never change.

The writing is on the wall…

With the integration of ITPro, Hitachi Vantara is ready for sell off - the future is not in infrastructure hardware for Hitachi. GlobalLogic / Digital / genAI is a much bigger pond to fish from. Hitachi Vantara’s revenue is peanuts compared to this... — read more

Hitachi Digital Services

Not sure I follow all of this? https://hitachids.com/blog/global-reorganization-to-strengthen-synergies-leveraging-ot-and-it/ Sounds like they are splitting legacy Vantara/HDS and the solutions/services/HCC again? Funny the references to... — read more

When HDS became HV.

I believe the decline of HDS started in 2015 when they bought Pentaho which resulted in the creation of HV two years later. This has been a ship without a captain for many years to come.

It’s time to unionize.

We need to stop being kicked around like pieces of garbage and need to welcome in the CWA to gain respectability. The unions have been gaining more popularity since the 2008 financial crisis. The C-suite folks need to stop the abuse and the unions... — read more

Wrong priorities

Judging from LinkedIn, Hitachi Vantara is way more focused on DEI virtue signaling than technology.

Siblings(family)/friends

Nothing more pathetic than family and friends who get into a failing company and CANT get out ;)

I was laid off two weeks ago

I was so scared that it would take me forever to find a new job. I was very much wrong. Today, I landed a new position. It's better pay and similar benefits. I am overjoyed! I just wanted to let everybody know that being laid off is not the end of... — read more

Culture at Hitachi Vantara vs Hitachi Ltd

What happened to the culture inspired by the Japanese Hitachi heritage? I don’t think GK or any of his direct reports could even give a 30 conversation on “Wa”, “Makoto”, or “Kaitakusha-seishin”.

It is necessary to finally stop it

It is impossible to stop attrition but it is possible to slow it down at least a little. I thought that those at the top would finally do something to stop the negative trend of the most skilled people leaving the company, but no. What's the... — read more

Disappointed over what HV has turned into

I used to really enjoy my job here. Now, however, this is a mess in which the best leave and the laziest and least competent are the most valued. Everyone wants to get a better offer and leave here. Is there a any way to fix this mess? Does HV need... — read more

Realistically going bankrupt.

Outsourcing jobs. Leasing Santa Clara Hq (due to constant layoffs in California). An outdated product. Broken remains of management

Does HW still need talented employees?

Another colleague left. I just wonder what will happen to this company if it continues to watch the departure of the most competent ones without any interest in stopping them. Either the company doesn't know how to keep them, or it thinks it can do... — read more
