Kaiser Permanente nurses in the Bay Area are rallying against impending layoffs, saying the job cuts to an already stretched-thin workforce could leave patients vulnerable.

Home and community care delivery reorg
Hi. Does anyone have insights on yesterday’s business reorganization? Will this lead to layoffs in sept and Oct?

This job is a joke! Again we have the most expensive healthcare in the world but we deny the basics for our seniors! HUMANA you stink! Why are your “ cherished old” nurse NOT eligible for ERP??? We deserve better than this!
At least 600 CDC employees are getting final termination notices
At least 600 employees of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are receiving permanent termination notices in the wake of a recent court decision that protected some CDC employees from layoffs but not others.
The notices went out this week and many people have not yet received them, according to the American Federation of Government Employees, which represents more than 2,000 dues-paying members at CDC.

Wow what a bunch of useless fluff. They do not sound positive about the future at all. Pete is giving me bad vibes. He’s basically blaming everyone else for Carelon problems.

Rumor/Reality - Layoffs
Could anyone share what is happening around layoffs?
Will this lead to a layoff?
I have been on leave since February and recently returned. I have been out of the loop, to say the least. Usually, I feel more 'in the know', but I feel vulnerable and on the outside. Understanding that...
I am currently in a role that supports the Texas Duals program. I was wondering, if based on leadership meetings (that I missed), and possibly other things, like internal conversations with other areas, mgmt. etc., if any one thinks there will be layoff around the program terminating at the end of the year? My role directly supports the program, so I am wondering if I should start looking elsewhere.
Anyone know how much COBRA costs this year?
I suppose it varies by region. I've looked at the Obamacare policies and even the platinum plans are lousy.

CentraCare Restructuring to Bring Layoffs
According to CentraCare, it’s unclear how many people will be affected by the cuts as they work to find positions for them within the healthcare providers’ network. The adjustments primarily affect administrative and support staff, who fill several non-medical roles such as billing specialists, IT workers, and maintenance crews, though some patient care positions will also be eliminated.
