Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

United healthcare and MetLife

Wells Fargo sure picked some doozy insurance companies. I’m paying for all my prescriptions and MetLife won’t pay out on critical illness insurance. Aetna never had any co-pays when I picked up my prescriptions. United healthcare won’t even cover Ozempic. I wonder how much kickback these companies are giving Wells Fargo leadership.

Depends on the plan you are in. Look at documents before choosing. Anyway you look at it, you should expect to pay 8k in premiums and deductibles if single and 13k or more if family. This is the state of health insurance and not Wells. Stop forcing nuns to pay for birth control and me to pay for your kids fourth dr-g rehabs at age 25 and you will see rates adjust accordingly.

@gg you were likely terminated for poor performance, not because someone targeted you.

OP You will have a lot more to worry about when they terminate you. Im 62 and now have no insurance after I was terminated this week. I gave 17 years of dedication to be targeted by a mgr who thinks they can get rid of anyone they want. They can and did because of the toxicity that only cares about budgets and survival. No one will stop it because its the plan and people are just resources.

Realize this: WF is in essence 'self insured' . the insurers are administrators, insurance plans you see are offered tailored to what WF is willing to pay the insurance company. This isn't saying that WF decides what will be covered and won't be covered to specific detail - the insurer does that in a manner that they can still make a profit on what the insured individual + WF are paying them.

Different insurers have different ways they do this. I had UHC for a couple of decades over multiple employers (including WF) and didn't have any issue with them on coverage. When WF switched up plans a could of years ago the Anthem plan was better for our needs than the UHC plan. Do your research/shopping prior to enrollment to pick what's best for you.

I'm finally getting away from united next yr, I had $11k banked in my hra from over the yrs and wasn't willing to give that money up yet. 2 yrs and 2 surgeries later I finally emptied it. I need to see a specialist for my endometriosis (none in my state) and none, including the mayo Dr's were covered by united and my buddy who has the bcbs plan looked up the handful of Dr's on my wish list and they all are covered so hopefully I can finally afford to to see one! 🤞

Sounds like you need to make some better life choices instead of blaming healthcare companies that aren't covering all your pills and weight loss shots because you are unhealthy.

anyone who makes the mistake of choosing united has only themselves to blame.

Ozempic is covered for me. Granted I am in MN, same city as UHG HQ.
I pay $25 for a months supply. 0.5 mg dosage
