IT programmers makes tons of errors. So slow. Technical glitches. Poor processes. Overbilling. The overall total value su-cks. For those who are insiders, why is it so bad and what am I missing ?

Several high profile VPs, Executive directors etc were laid off last week along with several engineers (count unknown) in the IT org that manages the customer facing tools like xfinity.com, payment and billing, xfinity mobile etc. All affected parties in Philadelphia so far.

Called AAR today about how NS is forcing crafts to do billing and fix minor stuff that does not need fixing just to hit their billing goals, they said I should call FRA also and file a report, they also said they have been notified by multiple employees and the multiply freight car owners of being charge multiply times for the SAME repairs done to same car over and over again everytime it enter a NS yard. AAR said them and FRA are looking into it. I was told if you know anyone the agrees they are trying to force you to do illegal repairs or have proof they are threaten you to do repairs or else you will be written up, to contact AAR and FRA and make a report. And to stop any non necessary repairs immediately because your name is on bill and you will be accountable for that repair if it was not a necessary repair or if it was a same repair that was done multiply times by you on different days to same car. They said fines and discipline can and will be handled out to carrier and individuals involved in any fraud or wrong doing is found. And it it up to the carriers to decided how to handle their employees for it.

Talk about bait and switch. Left the company and left before my billing cycle was up. They are trying to back charge me for the previous bill and saying because I left during the bill cycle I lost my promos what an unfair business practice to bill promos in arrears when they bill in advance!!!!

For anyone who reads these posts and took the VRP, if you cancel Cobra because you found other coverage, watch your bank account. They took the money from my account for the monthly Cobra bill AFTER I terminated coverage. I had received an email saying the automatic debit was terminated, but I just had a funny feeling that Cigna would take the money anyway, and they did. I called the customer service center, and she put in a ticket to get it refunded, but it makes me so mad. That's a house payment. Cigna wants to keep the money to earn the interest, so I won't get refunded for 14 days! Just watch out.

So I voluntarily left in November. No bonus payment for me. Instead I received a bill to pay for a couple of days of management lease they forgot to deduct from my last payroll.

This was just filed in California and it fits exactly what everyone here is talking about with Billing Fraud and stealing from the states.

The lawyers are accusing Gainwell of illegally billing and defrauding the state clients.
The lawsuit said Gainwell fired a manager because of “her complaints to
management about two issues: (1) Gainwell’s illegal practice of billing out resources/employees across multiple contracts and (2) Gainwell’s requirement that employees work overtime, bill the client, but not pay the employees.

Gainwell’s Illegal Billing Practices

"Multiple leadership calls alleged that Gainwell could not have
resources assigned to one contract work on other contracts. Ms. Smith was turning everybody on the Denti-Cal account into double-billable resources by also assigning them onto other contracts. Ms. Smith instructed BLANK and others to bill certain employees across multiple projects. Ms. BLANK repeatedly told her that was not allowed, was illegal, and violates the contracts. Gainwell’s contracts
with its customers expressly prohibit this type of double-dipping. Gainwell was prohibited from using an employee on other accounts when this employee was fully committed to working on other projects."

As a newcomer, it’s absolutely shocking how much billing is credited and rebilled on a daily basis.

They could easily create a whole department that performs this function 24/7/365.

Is it the company’s processes, people, technology?

Got some documentation saying the discount will go from 30% to 50%. Took forever to find someone who even knew what I was talking about. Lady said that according to what she could find, and if she understood it correctly, the discount would take a couple of billing cycles to flow through. Assuming we might see it on the billing on the December bill if true.
