Odd Recent Layoffs

Someone I know was let go for continuously clogging toilets in Biggs. I was told this by someone on the People Team that would know. And no they didn’t clog them the way you think, but rather they were caught flushing wads of paper towels and plastic ware from the cafeteria. Very strange and she didn’t go into details how they knew it was person, but they were able to nail down who it was. Has anyone else heard about this yet?! Apparently the perp was doing it for a couple months and then got really brazen when they started dropping spoons and forks in the toilets.

See something, say something. But none of you do.

That makes you part of the problem. File a complaint with the EEOC or the DHS. Oz says he’s all over Medicare and Medicaid fraud. If you suspect that’s going on here, file the complaint. Let it get investigated. But more than that, take it to the court of public opinion. Social media is the ultimate equalizer now. Everybody complains. No one acts. If you suspect conflicts of interest, notify outlets like ProPublica. Even John Oliver torched Centene and Michael back in the day. Sadly, what I think you are going to ultimately find out is that the truth is what Ricky Gervais said during his monologue at the awards a few years back. “I don’t care anymore. I’m just joking. I never did”. Replace the “I” with every company, every government agency, etc. They don’t care anymore. And they never did.

DXE Post??

What happened to the "Corrupt DXE..." post? Great post - very informative, detailed, & with references. Some good responses as well.

Did an administrator pull the post? Or, one of the leaders that was called out? My concern is that OP, who was laid off last week, pulled the post out of fear of losing his/her severance.

Employee Tracking Software

Based on recent media coverage of Meta tracking laptop activity and taking screenshots to train the AI to replace the people it is tracking, does anyone know of this sort of thing in Dell?

Seems our colleagues in Europe can ask under law and be told but not sure if anyone would or has done this.

Any confirmation of this in any region or BU?

I’m not looking for comments that are jumping to conclusions or making guesses based on feelings. Any real info out there?

Law firms that have won cases against U.S. Bank?

Let’s come together as one community here and post a list of real lawsuits won against U.S. Bank. Employment Discrimination Retaliation Consumer or anything else as long as it has to do with U.S. Bank. Let’s compile a list here with links and anything else that is helpful.

Bonus points for recent/ongoing lawsuits.

Post on Glassdoor

If you are disappointed with Fidelity then don't limit your posts to a hidden forum like TheLayoff. Go to Glassdoor or other more public review sites and share your experiences there. Yes Fidelity can and does game the system but even a few negative reviews can help someone avoid a mistake and maybe bring the score closer to where it belongs.

Cigna not giving rest breaks

Has anyone else had a problem with Cigna not scheduling your legally entitled rest breaks? I have had many conversations with my manager about this, and they continue to not give me rest breaks. I have filed a complaint with my state's BOLI 6 months ago, and they have not investigated yet. Am I the only one?

The Old Badge Switcheroo

Me and the boys completed our first week of the old badge switcheroo. It was a wild success!

We take turns holding everyone else's badges. Then, the one holding the badges goes into the office and scans everybody else in. It works like a charm!

Now, each of us only goes in once per week!

We are already talking about ways to make it better. We are open to your ideas!

Most of you are embarrassing

I come on the site to see what people are writing and thinking. I think is hilarious how most of you just complain and some of you call MD and JC names and how they are id--ts. You do realize MD created a $100B company and he is one of the richest Individuals in the world and JC Is the COO who has made millions. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!!

You guys are brave coming on this platform with no ideas, no solutions insulting individuals hiding behind your screen. If you are so miserable then quit. You know why you don’t leave, because you probably realize no one would want to hire you.

New Chief Compliance Officer Remote

USAA has a policy that all new roles are in office. Remote employees that post for new roles must move to an office location if they want a new role. It also has a policy that all roles are posted for at least 5 business days. This does not appear to apply to all people. Good ole boys get special treatment. The bank just hired a new chief compliance officer and the role was not posted. The new chief compliance officer is also remote and does not appear to have moved to an office location. What gives? Why is there special treatment for certain people while the rest of us remote employees are stuck in our roles unless we are willing to move?

That Employee Survey

First question on the latest employee survey: Are you happy at Ally? (Y/N). This is a loaded question that will be used against you. If your manager in any way suggested/encouraged that you complete the survey and you answered this question, you pretty much own Ally. That question is asking about your psychological health. Ally has absolutely no business asking you to disclose anything about your mental health. In fact, the practice is illegal under federal and state employment laws.

Does Anyone Subscribe to Ignites Newsletter?

I started with Fido when Reagan was president, now I'm retired. I've seen how they have been able to keep bad news out of the media or at least they control the narrative. Ignites is a great newsletter for the financial industry that sometimes has news before it breaks. I signed up for free using my company email when I worked there.

Nielsen isn't dead!

I spent close to two decades at Nielsen before my "demise." The one thing I could say for Nielsen during all those years was the company was NOT going to go under! Lol. So many companies out there hang on by a string - and that's some real stress for employees. I've been involved in the ad measurement game since the early 90s (even while in college). The demise of Nielsen has been predicted for years but never really happens. This article is prob the best I've read out there explaining why. Well worth the half hour read if you're still in the biz or just an outside over the hill observer like myself. Enjoy https://new.adotat.com/p/the-nielsen-bonfire-who-s-holding-the-match

Just had to stop therapy after 4 years

Long story short: After a long time of searching I finally found the right therapist for me, and was reassured that RTO couldn't interfere with my appointments. Well sure enough, my manager allows me to leave the office for my appointments, but the real issue is having to commute basically 4 times just to continue seeing my therapist. I literally cannot afford it. Thank you Bill.

Dear Mr head of wealth

Monthly reminder that it’s been 6 months since you stated the org changes will be announced “in the coming weeks”. You expect us to do our jobs in a timely manner yet here you are completely hidden and didn’t do jack sh-t. We don’t respect you, you’re only protected by your title. That is all.

Well I said I would never come back but did. Big mistake.

I retired from exxon making 220k at 55. I could not stand it anymore. I said I would never work for this dysfunctional s heet show again. Well they offered me a contractor position through an agency. My pay was only half at 120k per year. They told me I would not have to deal with all the BS forms, moc, procurement, and training cr-p. I got put under a young female supervisor and she immediately started lecturing me about performance and expectations. I was simply there to help with engineering designs and reviews. This supervisor knew nothing of engineering and only knew exxon bruacracy. I was asked to perform some saftey tasks and lab inspections. I told my overlord it was not part of my duties and I was to do engineering work. She told me I was being insubordinate and she would delegate my tasks. It was all downhill from there. Since I was familiar with gmocs I was instructed to initiate several because the new engineers did know how to complete them. The supervisor was getting very angry at me complaining that I was taking too long on tasks. I quit 3 months into my failed return to exxon. The supervisor was pi---d and told me that I would never work at exxon again and I was on the black list for hiring. I told her to stick the job up her ar-e and I never wanted to work at exxon in my life. The contract company was pi---d as well and told me I could not work for them again. I do not want to work anymore. My treatment was the worst by this individual. I wanted to punch the s heet out of her. The power went to her head and she treated me like a child. I knew it was a mistake but I was bored and thought I could do work that I liked. This is just my story and hope it helps others not make the same mistake. I might just volunteer some where to stay busy.

Thank you anons

Shout out to the anonymous posters who give us warnings on internal decisions made by our management teams. I know that there are some trolls who try to dilute the quality posts, but when I identify the well meaning posts, I take them to heart and apply them at work, which has helped me avoid pitfalls. I hope I can do the same if I learn anything key that can help you, my fellow Wells Fargo anons!

How to anon report my racist and s-xist manager

This regards the very much worries have I about my manager’s manager. My address and phone number the manager has access to. But he must be called out. Never will change. He must go. I do not have the trust for human resources. They will certainty side with him. Please advise.

Employee Survey is not anonymous!

So, I exposed all the management issues in Oracle on my employee survey and was laid off! I know for a fact that it would never happen if I did not do this. But Oracle's management issues needed to be documented, and I've decided not to take this to attorneys as I need to let it go and move on with my career. What I witnessed was harassment, no support for disability issues for my husband and lack of payment for bonuses and career progression/promotion that I was 3x told I was in process for. Oracle's lack of managing talent, promotion and discrimination is intolerable. I will move on to my next role, but I will never go back to Oracle given this experience in my career.

Glassdoor number would be even lower if they didn't delete reviews

I posted an honest review of this place six months ago. Detailed, factual, not emotional, no swearing, no insults, nothing. It lasted I think four days, if not less. I don't know how they do it, but Xerox management is definitely requesting some reviews be taken down.
