It surely will not even match inflation. Dell is cheap. Life is getting more expensive by the day. If you feel like you have less money, it's because you do. Raises will 100% not fix it.
I miss when this place felt like a family
That feeling is completely dead now. If you told me 15 years ago this is where we'd be, I'd call you a liar. Yet, here we are.
Curious about raises this year...
Considering they demoted the majority of sr managers last February... Which su-ks bc my manager was AMAZING! New manager/director is cool but he has no clue wtf we do on a daily basis and has no personal relationship with any of us. I've never... — read more

Cannot submit vacation from 1st of May because of One Dell
As I found out just today, I cannot submit vacation from 1st of May because of One Dell. What kind of company is this that I cannot submit my vacation which is my right per our country labour code? Is this applied across while Dell?
Training now posted
All this fu--ing training!!!!
Definitely nervous about tomorrow
I've been averaging 38-40 badges every quarter. Especially in this one it's been tougher with snowstorms. I just finished my yearly review and got overwhelmingly positive feedback but that doesn't really matter right.
Watch for your Business update tomorrow
Rumors in the leadership chat are that large layoffs are to begin tomorrow and go through Wednesday. Most groups won't be affected but from what I have heard it's primarily ISG, CSG, IT, and then small percentages throughout other groups. Those who... — read more
Why force people into the office when the work is still online?
Return to office policies feel disconnected from how many teams actually work now. A lot of teams are spread across different cities and countries. Even when people sit in the same building, most of their meetings are still on video calls. The day... — read more
Dell's Acquisition Strategy
Help me understand this. We buy companies. Some of them are good, some su-k, so quality varies. What's constant is what we do after the acquisition. We always run them into the ground, destroy any value that exists, they stop innovating or developing... — read more

Good luck on Friday
Good luck Friday, hope you don't get the 'business update' invite for Monday am. They're coming.
Yet another AMAZING quarter!
Getting tired of hearing about how great the previous quarter was and how much money dell made, when the people who made that happen are shown nothing in return. We get below inflation rate raises, no promotions and constant layoffs... Show us the... — read more

This wave of AI-driven transformation only makes a small group of capitalists richer, while the majority of others may end up being harmed.
FY26 IBP
My director spilled to me that the IBP is likely over 140 this year.
Can't wait to see how big a failure MAV is
It's supposed to go live in May but is far from ready and absolutely will not be very functional by May... I feel bad for the good managers and good people who are heavily involved in it because when it inevitbly FAILS, many of them will be let go... — read more
WFR is to begin Mar 6th
Layoffs were pushed back a bit due to the NDA project along with another project but from what I've heard, layoffs are to be expected starting 3/6 and to go until 3/12. Rumors have it that ISG/CSG will be hit fairly hard along with low performing... — read more
Does Dell ISG have RSUs?
I'm already an I-7 and I have no RSU as part of my comp. Which I levels get RSUs and how much ?
Are you in touch with laid off employees? What are they up to now
Did they bounce back?
Patent your idea
If you came up with a great idea, get in touch with the Intellectual Property department. Not only could you get a share of any royalties, your name is on the patent - proving you innovated. Maybe someone at Dell will forget about you - but other... — read more
List #1 reason why we are not innovating any more?
It's a serious questions. I am curious what the board thinks. I think we lost every incentive to innovate and we also see what's going on the exec level, so why bother.
Posting online about the work I do
To prepare for potential layoffs and job searching , I've been thinking of writing blogs about internal tools I built ( especially with AI ) during my years at Dell that has saved my org millions. Figured it might help build a strong... — read more
stock price great, but what about smci

WTF is the point in even going into office? What are they REALLY going to do about it?
I'm sure it varies from org to org but like, if you are a valued employee and have good relationships with managers, directors, etc... and overall are a stellar employee, what even happens to those who go in 1x a week or 3x week or don't hit the... — read more
Glassdoor reviews

Layoffs were slow for now but May is going to be a sla-ghter
Layoffs were minimal and fairly non-existent this month which is not normal considering the previous 5 years. YAY! Well, Mavrick is officially rolling out in May and from what I've heard, a LARGE portion of those NDA workers are scheduled to be let... — read more
45 days is the official minimum for RTO

What groups are up now? Seems they went easy this year with layoffs so far but, I'm guessing the axe will fall when maverick rolls out - and fails.
Dell stock soars

Are you safe if there's proof you're bringing / saving money?
There's a tool I built at work that, per my director, is saving Dell $1M a year at the least in operational expense. I go away, and there's no one to manage the tool. My teammates are capable to learn coding but they've got their plates full too... — read more

Does Dell give time to move internally ?
