Can EVERYONE (within reason) do RTO in March? Even to the offices without enough desks!
If they are going to force us to RTO if we are with 60 miles/1 hour of an office after making massive office cuts. AND they are going to PIP/fire people for noncompliance. Can we be overly compliant? Go in! Do it! When there are not enough desks... — read more
What could have Dell done to be better ?
I'm curious. The company has gone through multiple WFRs. We are at what maybe 30,000 people let go since COVID started ? Is there anyway to turn this ship around ? Curious to hear your thoughts on where should the company focus to start making... — read more
LinkedIn Vultures are circling
I’ve been getting a lot of people contacting me on LinkedIn with new opportunities. One was a company with a reputation of interviewing people just to have their names on file in case of attrition. (They have a lot). Two others were complete scams... — read more
Dell Leaders Create Leaders
I am weary from working under so-called leaders who have consistently let me down, failed to demonstrate genuine growth throughout their extensive careers, and have been preoccupied with misplaced priorities at Dell. Please forgive me if I sound... — read more
Most of us used to work from the office
I understand that it's not ideal. But I don't understand how people managed to get to the office with no issues before but suddenly it's a huge issue? Did all of you guys move? I mean, I understand opposing RTO on the basis that WFH is generally more... — read more
Dell Ubuntu support is ending due to layoffs
This su-ks. I just learned that there was a WFR in Dell IT and Ubuntu support for work laptops is going away. I don't even remember the last time I used Windows. It's going to be so weird to go back to that OS. Seems like an odd move though.
I will not be able to comply with RTO
Commuting would be just barely manageable, but I would have to say goodbye to having even a semblance of life. Moving for work doesn’t make sense either in this day and age. It costs too much money and energy, only to get laid off or otherwise kicked... — read more
DFS

Anyone just not going to do it? RTO
So I decided even though I live within 30 minutes and my status will inevitably be updated to on site - I'm just not going to do it. I'll keep working remotely and doing well and we will just see what happens. I think I'll just make excuses.. there... — read more
WFR Requested
Has anyone just requested to be WFR when the time comes? Managers like to have a bit of padding for WFR . Why not volunteer to be that padding?
April brings spring WFRs
Howdy howdy! April is just right around the corner, thank goodness we kept zoom! You all may have noticed how light the WFRs were this month - it will more than be made up for come April. A few sprinkles in March but don't let that matter much. April... — read more
Incoming save the planet/energy
Building costs will be skyrocketing with influx of new RTO mandate. Do not fall for the conserve the planet garbage that will inevitably follow. Use as much resources and then some while you are onsite.
Complete Lack of Respect For our time
Checked my email this morning. One of our “I’m just a regular gal/guy like you” VPs sent an announcement late last night for a “Technology Unplugged meeting at 9:00am. Less than 12 hours notice and I was asleep for seven of those hours. I declined... — read more

Veto Tell Dell
There is only one way to send a message to the execs and the board, do not participate in Tell Dell. Because if you participate and that translated to a lower eNPS score, they will shamelessly lower the benchmark once again and party. Instead boycott... — read more
Things are different....
Immediate management is so passive aggressive with how they word things that you are to do....then alot of it is just vague enough so you really dont have a firm grasp of it all so if you fk up something they can say that they told you to do so, but... — read more

RTO----anyway to fight it?
Or are all requests being denied through HR? Has anyone had any luck?
Where’s the policy?
It’s been a week and a half since they announced RTO, yet the actual policy still hasn’t been posted. Any larger call I was on last week that included HR had tons of questions looking for clarification, only to be met with “we are still working on... — read more
NDA's
Hello. Big announcement incoming, several on NDA's. Anyone know what to expect? Office rumour in Ireland is either a merge or split (in the way HP did it).
Jack Welch would have been proud
People on the leadership team and in HR clearly attended a Jack Welch seminar from 1986 because that’s how they’re running the company. Reward only the top 10%, regardless of how much talent you have on the team, deliberately reduce bonus... — read more

Sunday angst

Love the new changes - A new beginning
The Five Day RTO is great. It allows me to enjoy my early mornings, evenings, and weekends more freely. As our policies evolve to favor oligarchs, those oligarchs will continue to overreach and impose unfair policies. Over time, this will help... — read more

A union isn’t going to just appear
I’m guessing those calling for a union don’t work at Dell. If they do all I can say is; If you want a union then get off your butt and organize. Unions take a lot of work and sacrifice, they don’t just show up. It isn’t like the 19th and early 20th... — read more

Rumor mill when your WRF'd client put on your PC
Someone in the rumor mill group said they were told a client was added to your PC if you're WFR'd, to ensure when leaving you didn't take any confidential info or copy anything. Not sure if it's turn or not, but good to know.
