"DEI is only alive for Indian people. They are the only ones getting promoted and hired, and none of them ever get WFR’ed"

You do realize that Indian people are not included under DEI, right? Now, white male Veterans are though. As are white men with disabilities, white men over 50, white men with learning disabilities...you might want to learn what DEI is before spouting off

The NBA is a great example of what happens when the most qualified players earn a spot. You can't fake it in athletics. The NBA was once segregated. Unfortunately in Corporate America the most incompetent bafoons obtain jobs based on who they know not competing on merit. DEI makes sure all competent people have a chance not just friends, relatives, and drunken frat brothers.

"DEI ensured you old folk could still be employed."

That is complete horse $hit. DEI got a lot of older tenured very talented Dell employees a package.

And pretty much the rest of your screed on DEI is also horse $hit.

DEI was pushed from a global WEF (world economic forum) at a country level to the U.S. government which mandated it to companies. DEI still exists however slowly shrinking and that will better society as a whole- Merits should be above of a person's desired branding.

Is DEI dead. If not it’s on its last days. You may have noticed the disappearance pronoun preferences in email signatures. There were no videos of ‘leaders’ hugging themselves for International Women’s Day. And no one making a big deal of ethnic or gender identity’firsts’ in promotion announcements.
There is hope that we may someday become a company that rewards on merit. If we are more than licensed brand name in 2 years.

I worked for a DEI hire VP and she managed to destroy the whole organization. Was a total car crash with so many people just looking the other way while she fumbled and tripped and eventually crashed. Ironically she is still there and still in leadership. Box ticked.

Yeah…now we have convinced ourselves that men can be women and give birth

DEI preferred hiring people based on fixed attributes such as race, skin color, s-xual orientation or identity over competence and actual skills. But if it makes so much sense, why don’t we have diversity in the NBA and have more 5’ men or women on the team? Because as it sites, the NBA discriminates against short people. Or why not have more 115’ people playing in the NFL?

These seem like silly examples but they is because the entire idea is silly. People should be judged and hired based upon who the are and what they bring to the table. Nothing else

"downfall of civilization"

Well we used to have an informed society embracing data and science. Now we have anti-vaccine plague pushers, daily ping-pong tariffs, and WWF entertainment grifter leading education. WWF pushed steroid juiced, dr-g addicted, fake fighting to children. Now these.qualified experts in AI call it A1 steak sauce and it's truly amazing. Truly overwhelming talent and expertise.

@eh+1jrn71k7s DEI insured the downfall of civilization as it allowed unqualified people to have positions of importance and to put them in place of someone truly qualified. Its self evident.look around

DEI protected Veteran preference hiring. DEI ensured disabled children had the same right to education.
DEI ensured your daughters had a chance.
DEI ensured you old folk could still be employed.
DEI Ensured that regardless of your gender, religion, orientation that you could get a job.
DEI ensured that racist, homophobic, anti female white men couldn’t deny employment because they weren’t loved enough as children.
Best way to take a company? Employ and hire only white men. Take a lesson from the current administration. Only took him 90 days to tank us.

“ Texting military top secrets to the press on accident. Clearly now that dei is gone the most qualified are getting the top positions”

As opposed to the “experts” who left billions of dollars of we-pons for the Ta----n and got 13 people ki-led with their we’ll-executed exit from Afghanistan?

Getting rid of dei at a federal level surely shows the most qualified people get the job. FDA is run by a pro-measles anti vaxxer who has no real credentials. Directly responsible for the deaths of children. We have a solid economic plan like putting tariffs on computers and smart phones for less than one day crashing the markets causing an exodus from the bond market.

We even have the co-founder of the WWF as secretary of education who think AI and A1 steak sauce are the exact same thing. Children need A1 steak sauce education in kindergarten so the US can develop something better than deepseek.

This is possibly the d-mbest post of any on here all year.

Dell supports the rights of anyone to work here who can work well with others. Thats not DEI, thats just employing the right people.

Doesnt make them lefties. Far from it. Just means they are normal human beings.

Why dont you just say what you a really mean? You dont like brown people or people who wont sleep with you.

"Seems it's back to the unqualified drunken frat boy promotion policy."

And in my team it seems all that's left are 2 of us that actually know what's going on and the rest who were hired to fill a DEI checkbox rather than qualifications.

No Dell DEI is pretty dead. That was a fad. I don’t get what you mean by a left leaning company? How is Dell anything but a conservative driven organization?
