Why do people ask? Layoffs can happen any day. I still see people in my own building being laid off. One this week. Dons't matter the month or week. A layoff will happen to anyone on any day.
We were supposed to get hit last week but didn't. I've got a call with manager scheduled today.. we shall see.
I've been monitoring the headcount since September, they have laid off employees every week except for 1 the last 7 months.

What rumors? Layoffs are happening constantly.
No, but the span of control should be activated that day, with lots of surprises for the managers, etc.
