Many folks are on global teams that have calls starting before normal working hours and back to back meetings after that. The work changed over the last 5 years and it's not about having a nicely controlled schedule where you can drive to the office and then start your work day. So to those who think people are just whining about RTO, it's a daily challenge for some of us to work it out.
Great news. Compliance checks have moved beyond a simple badge-in report. Be on the lookout for the monitor who checks to see if you're at your assigned desk. RR2 checks are made twice a day.
"The data is in Workday for all managers on a daily basis."
The data has been available for 4 decades now.

A manager I am dotted lined to received a report 3 weeks ago, and talked to an employee who had been in the office less than I have been and I was not talked to. He also high fived me after I went a full week remote and returned, because I felt like it. This manager is also a misogynist so I don't know.
Managers come in? Never see them. If you do they are behind a closed door all day. And by all day I mean to 1pm. Then it’s an empty office.
I hear Sudhir is coming back and wants to meet with everyone
I'm a manager and I didn't get anything.
Who cares? It's up to a manager what they do about the report if anything, no one is making them do anything with it
Are the managers themselves on the report? Mine has only been in 4 times since RTO and one of the times was a cofee badge. Some days there's maybe 3 managers in the entire building.
Who cares anymore. Just do the job and f it. Ignore the BS!
let them come find me. i'm too busy sweatin' in the lab doing all the physical work (to hells with their cr-p metrics, my job is just to get things workin') while the lab techs they hired play on their phones with feet up at their desk manipulating metrics. they'll never find me as i'm running around doing everyone else's work for the same pay
If you're nervous about this, you were the problem
