It’s such a strange feeling. You can be laid off at any moment, this week, next month, whenever. None of the projects I’ve been working on seem to have any real consequence, let alone be part of some grand development plan. The avenues for career advancement are practically nonexistent, so there’s no motivation there either. I feel more like a cashier at a corner shop than a professional, an expert who’s been steadily growing in their field. It’s just so depressing.
