The 20 direct reports is going to impact a lot of leaders. I'm an IC. Several of my peers were moved to another leader, a Sr Dir, which leaves my current manager, a Director, in a challenging spot. It was a mixed message as to whether the some/all of the remaining ICs would be moved or WFR'd.

@kh+1jrwqnr02 - ISG Technical support.

There is a company wide directive that managers have to have 20 direct reports now. Lots of management impacted.

There is no use in asking when layoffs are going to hit because it's a bit different in each other. The fact is they will be ongoing until we are down another 28,000 people - that's coming from upper leadership with no motive to lie. Also, HR hasn't needed to be on layoff calls in 2 years, it's totally optional and up to the manager.

Lots of managers, directors and others hit today (including myself).

Just received a 5% raise and 22k in LTI. Well.. good riddance

Was it a Business Update email,
That listed the call details?

Word is that all Team Leads must now have 20 direct reports, so yeah, another round of layoffs coming.

I knew something was up when my boss kept cancelling my one on ones.

The one before my layoff she lied to me and said she was on feeling well which I knew was a lie. She was active online all day.

If Dell doesnt layoff the Sr. Dir and VP pdm who took cover in the Edge AI org after their team-wipe out ; then the rot still continues . Lower ranks will continue to pay the price for their wrong decision.
Accountability at the topmost layers should be enforced.

""Sadly I always check to see if HR is on the invite as well :(""

It used to be that HR was on the call, now with so many layoffs they no longer are. My call last Monday was with my manager only. Just read from a script.

Good luck.

True story: my 1x1 came in the summer when I was on a 3-4 day hybrid in office schedule. I was so naive about what was happening that I had actually gone into the office for the day. I took the zoom meeting sitting in the central treehouse area in RR3. Yeah, that was awkward.

My entire team was just moved under another director. Might be a good thing.

The only 1 on 1 my boss was not 15 minutes late was the one with HR on the call.

A friend of mine was laid off on their monthly 1x1 and HR was added last minute so he didn't see it coming.
