Dell & HP Mergers

Hearing murmurs of Dell and HP merging. Not the first time I’ve heard it in either. Interesting if true.

When you hear that rumor buzz, 99.9 % is true. I went through two big tech mergers and I remember the rumors months before.

Quite possible….hp has been crushing our CSG sales for 7 quarters and even though it’s still 51% of our cash flow it’s being eaten up by apple lenovo and hp. Dell has lost that customer loving feeling along with any semblance of employee pride to even be at Dell. By November this fy look around…., 1 of 3 vps will be gone and 80% of current mid managers will be working at walmart

Elon’s milkshake brings all the boys to the yard in Round Rock, not Palo Alto.

The biggest rumors for a long time have been spinning off the CSG business. With tariff nonsense, the valuation of a client business with so much supply chain exposure to tariffed countries has to be brutal.

There’s a better chance of Walmart buying the storage business.

Unless the plan is to break up Dell like HP did, not seeing it happening. And I'm not seeing Dell breaking up happening either.

Yep, I don't see that happening either. A few years ago I would have said HP would jump at that chance. But now I think HP wouldn't touch Dell with a 10 foot pole. Why bother? There's no financial advantage for HP.

Not dismissing the rumor but I can't see it happening soon given the macro backdrop i.e. most M&A and IPO activity has stalled.....once those conditions become more favorable then its certainly plausible. Dell may try to front-run that by cutting staff even more aggressively than is already taking place - this would create a more favorable opportunity for any would-be acquirer to step in or for a merger conversation to begin. Just my 2 cents.

Lol. No regulator would allow this.
