I see there are two spots open for a class MW 7-10 pm for maybe 2 months if someone wants to enroll. Not that this is directly layoff related but the training may be useful to someone looking to move on to their next role.

Latest rumor! AT&T can use this money to facilitate early retirement but cannot involuntarily surplus til March. I personally find this hard to believe but it did come from someone who is usually reliable.
