I'm so sick and tired of the daily stress that comes with working for AT&T. I know the grass is not always greener and other companies have their issues as well, but can it really be worse than here? Stankey is terrible. If he continues like this he will destroy this company completely. And all we can do is watch as it happen and stress over more layoffs that never stop coming.

I am retirement eligible and was surpluses and the rehired at a lower level but same salary. I view myself as a contractor only doing the work for pay and I disregard worrying about politics, AT&T's future, ..... payday is most important as I am here for the money. I wish u had a more career or company oriented goal but I don't after T supposed me then rehired me at a lower level
Made it 26 years and just took the last SIPP offer. Love the work, love most the people I work with, but ATT management style is the worse. Luckily for me I can finish my time as A Guard bum in the Air Force.
Since you dislike all the stress and fear of being fired and to afraid to just quit yourself and want it to be over with in one week. Just complain about EEOC violations to your Director and you be fired under the false grounds as a low performer in 1 week.
Not sure why anyone is motivated anymore knowing their position hangs in the balance! Sales, start looking elsewhere, the pressure is on and T is looking for new blood anyway! They’re just looking to clean house and Covid is the perfect excuse to do so. Just keep collecting a paycheck until someone shows you the door...in time! I’ve been with T for some time now and lost my passion years ago because year after year, it’s the same layoff nonsense!

AT&T makes so easy. had 5 full blown affairs in the last 5 years, all married, 4 with small children, in reality: Spouses cheat, and cheating spouses tend to be somewhat predictable in the choices they make specially at AT&T. Highly recommend!
A lot of unhappy employees is exactly why ATT should poll EVERY single employee in EVERY business unit and ask if he/she would be willing to leave voluntarily with a severance package! It would minimize the heart ache throughout and save some of those that actually want to stay rather than force people out involuntarily! I’m quite sure there would be many volunteers! I wish somebody in T had an ounce of brains!
Another reason they should offer a MVO....so many unhappy employees. Bet half don’t take it and are back on this site complaining.

Stop investing emotions in T.
Realize your are just a UID to them, and your 2nd level doesn't even know your name...nor care to.
Divorce yourself mentally from work.
Smile and wave and try to run them out of $$$.
I left AT&T and while I have shifted within three different Fortune 500 companies since all three were no where near as stressful as my 20 years(more the last 5) with AT&T. The grad can be greener if you stay focused on what you want in your career and stick to getting that. Oh and the money can be better as well.
Sadly true, I drank the juice long ago. Go back to school since it’s apart of vision 2020. So I did for a bachelor and master’s degree. I’ve applied to so many jobs within the company that I already have a resume and answer for the interview questions. Unfortunately you can’t compete when the hiring manager is already going to hire their friend. Most of the jobs in career path are there because HR requires them to post them.
JAIL Stankey - he mismanaged Billions of $$$ while enriching himself - arrogant, full of $hit and stupidity - insane to think he is now the CEO instead of sharing a cell with Bubba like other white color criminal crooks - if nothing else Karma will get this mo–n.
The country as a whole is hurting. ATT just makes it that much worse.
Sadly the company is nothing like it used to be, but be happy you're collecting a paycheck & benefits. Make the best of it, just ride it out!

Stink is by far the absolute worst possible person to lead a lemonade stand, much less a multi-billion dollar international company.
He's not only arrogant and blind, he refuses to acknowledge what he doesn't know, ignores mistakes, and dismisses any alternative opinions or ideas.
The man's arrogance leads him to believe he is smarter than anyone else when the reality is the exact opposite. He probably thinks of himself as some brave, tough man dragging T into success, but he's a millstone around all our necks dragging the company into destruction. He thinks of himself as King Midas, but he's really King Mierdas.
As long as Stink is in charge T will suffer one humiliating disaster after another – from DIRECTV Now to ATTTV to HBO Max.
It would be true justice if, after he is fired, he is made to repay everyone for his blunders, stupidity, and ego-driven destruction. But instead he'll get a huge payout just like Randy and live the rest of his life in comfort and luxury believing what a visionary and strong leader he was.

we've all made the mistake of starting here. and we stayed here as it is an easy paycheck. but it comes with a price. c-appy performance, which means horrible stock price. zero growth and opportunities, but even management is lazy so sit around and collect a check. i've been doing for decades
I hear you OP... very hard these days to garner any motivation to put in my best - or even anything close. But don’t hang on Stankey destroying anything, these large corps are more resilient than you think. It might look ugly for a while but they’ll survive - so don’t be waiting around for any ‘satisfaction’ . You take care of you and leave them to their mess. Just decide if you can/want to hang on through to the other side, whatever that will look like.
Been to two Fortune 500 companies since i left att and None of them are anything like att. Totally night and day. If and when you leave you won’t regret it guaranteed. I know I haven’t I just hope new employees come to this board and see how att treats their employees the older they get and run far far far away.

I can believe he's worse than Randall. At least Randall pretended to sometimes care, while stuffing his own pockets. Stinkey doesn't even act like he cares while stuffing his own pockets.
