Was the 2020 management bonus officially cancelled for this year. I have not seen any targets, how we are doing, or any updates on it this year. Thank you

They will keep it low keyed until end of year then decide if they want to convince us the company us hurting and more cutting to come or to raise morale and incent us to get behind leadership for a big push forward to profitability. Bonus us no longer based on metrics only but what they want you to believe. The company has lost it's way
Manager here. We are the ones that are making the correct decisions and providing the necessary direction to ensure the company is heading the right direction. Which is profitability. Unionized workers work hard, because they are blue collar and have to do hard work.
Management shouldn’t be getting bonuses when hard working union employees are surplussed and let go illegally!!!!!!!!!!!
I was part of the last surplus in May, the bonus was not included with severance pay. The prorated bonus for 2020 will be mailed out next March.
Did any of the severance paperwork indicate about bonus?
Hopefully they announce soon to all employees after earnings. Pretty sure most employees count on bonus as part of their annual pay....understandable it will likely be reduced this year given environment but hopefully not totally eliminated.
Well thats great that you bleed blue. Its also great they have been good to you for 25 years. But they haven't been good to everyone, in fact, they've sh– on more people than they have been good too. You not caring if they lay you off is indicative that you are in a position of high pay, high severance, and high level of cushion. A lot of people don't have that luxury lifestyle because they have been sh– on here.
The future is McElfresh? What future? The 180B in debt and cutting your workers in order to cook the books to a profit is a future? Cool, well have fun bleeding blue until it bleeds out, because there isn't much "future" left with these pinheads as YOUR leaders.
OP.....worrying about your bonus is not being a b–ch as he/she indicated, its being conscious about your money, which is just fine. Its just not something upper leadership at this cesspool worry about much which im sure qly is apart of because they bleed so much blue.
I wouldn't count on much, if anything at all. Actually wit the fuzzy math they utilize, we may end up owing them money.
I remember years ago L1 & L2 managers T gave us 2 years of high price stock options you are able to cash out in 3 years instead of a bonus. I was told by up above how this was much better than a cash bonus and I had no choice but to take the stock option. In 3 years time T stock was worthless and went down if I cashed them out I will owe thousands of dollars or let them expire and owe nothing. I let them expired and could not even use 2 years of lost bonuses as a tax deduction.
News flash for all you bashing directv
Directv was not built by att and that's why it profitability the only thing that has s—ed the life out of that business unit is att itself I have never in my life seen a company steal from itself like att employees to hit a sales number 3 out of 10 accounts are flipped sign customers up for services they never wanted then get sued by investors.
Your cellphone service s—s and if your not in a major city with fiber you internet s—s but the company thinks they can still charge 50-75 a month for old a– dsl
I have not seen one thing att has put hands on that they have not f—ed up
I hope every department head and 3rd line and up get huge bonuses
This company is in bankruptcy right now 2-5 yrs max
HBO max is a fail
Att tv is a fail
All att 4 other app are fails
yup sounds like a VP or AVP and above level promoting the surplus agenda.
is @qly for real or just begging for some type of attention since mommy quit breast feeding him too early in life?
We release Q2 earnings on 7/23 and should get an update soon after. We got an update after Q1 as to our performance, I’ve seen nothing indicating the bonus has been cancelled, but am not counting on much of a payout
Sales has not put out specific goals and the result is a diminished dollar amount in the separation dollars (regardless of your results.). The payout is as if the sales person was at 80%, oh and the sales people do not receive team award either.
@ylf Thank You appreciate the support!
Since your not here for the money, just give up your pay and come to work for the love of it.
No DTV purchase was not a good idea. Yet.... let's not pretend like this virus is something the company could have planed for. I am not supporting layoffs, but I am absolutely supportive of no bonus and even 10% pay cut across the board if it stops company from laying people off. When someone like this entitled little employee wants to know about his or her bonus, it rubs me the wrong way. He or she says the current layoff is impacting him or her. So what? I can see why this person is getting laid off. All they think about is money and not the benefit of the company. YES I BLEED BLUE. This company has been good to me for 25 years. I don't care if they lay me off now. To the day I die I bleed blue and I am against people like this little entitled b**** who wants to know about his or her bonus. GIVE ME A BREAK. And by the way, McElfresh is the FUTURE. Stankey is an id–t. Elliott is here because of id–ts like Stankey and Randall, but Elliott has a cleansing impact on id–tic companies that take on 200 billion dollars of debt. So FACE THE MUSIC and GROW UP.
Yes the supersized d—o bonus is set to paid in the bing!
The company needs to get rid of people like you. Its you that perpetuate the lack of caring, bleed blue even when they screw you 13 ways from Sunday, and smile while listening to town hall meetings every month about impending layoffs. I suppose you think DTV was a great strategic investment too huh? And time Warner too.....that was a great one as well right? Digital life, crunchyroll, I can keep going if you need more Kool aid to drink.
Get a life, and OP, please don't listen to sh– like this from an obvious AVP or higher that was just given a free ride title change, you asked a fair question on people like this are the c-ap that gets left behind at T when we leave.
For the record, I am the OP and was notified I was impacted a week ago. As I am trying to figure out my next move I was trying to determine if I can expect 50 percent of any bonus payable next year to help with things.
@uqf-Thanks
Fair question. I forgot about this as well since these days ATT is only focused on surplusses. Don't listen to Stankey below he's like the CCP and wants you to only think on flowers and green gardens and everything is beautiful at T.
Come to think of it, we'd normally hear SOMETHING in Feb or early March, which would have been pre-pandemic scramble, and I saw nothing.
OP just asked a question. Post came of as factual, unemotional to me. A bit of a leap to say someone is selfish and entitled because they ask for the status of a benefit they received in the past.
They can't provide targets. Who can in this environment? It is impossible with virus impacting everything. All revenue targets are worth nothing, they even told wall street. Did you have your head hiding in sand? Do you understand Time Warner can't make or release movies and sports are cancelled? Quit being selfish. Your life should not revolved around Bonus. Get a grip. You get a salary and budget based on it. Bonus is never guaranteed. This is the entitled attitude that needs to be removed from this company, all while in July people are getting laid off. Shame. Elliott is good for people like you.
I have not heard anything that it was canceled. Management will not know until the last quarter is done, and depending on business unit and overall (lack) of performance, no bonus may be forthcoming.
Either way, of course Ratty and Stinky will get theirs!
