I see there are two spots open for a class MW 7-10 pm for maybe 2 months if someone wants to enroll.
Not that this is directly layoff related but the training may be useful to someone looking to move on to their next role.

I see R.I.P.ed cisco routers in the CO. I regularly wire new circuits to Juniper routers.
It seems that cisco has gone the route of the dinosaurs.
Anyways for those tricky CCNA exams cisco gave out the exact questions on the tests to book authors.

We're not in India and this board is not about staying at T. Searching Monster, Indeed and DICE for CCNA in my local area shows it as a pre-requisite or at least recommended for a good number of jobs. It can still get your foot in the door. What you add to that is up to you.

CCNA is valuable both at AT&T and outside when you are looking for a career. I earned CCNA and CCDA a long time ago, and believe they helped me along the way. I took a lot of free CCNP level training through PLE as well. If anyone on this board has a job now but is concerned about having certs on their resume to help get a job in the future - jump on this training if you can get it. I'd highly recommend taking basic Cisco and Juniper courses and taking certification tests to show you are current. Having current technical certifications can only help you, both in your current job and in any future career.
(hmmm, seeing what this board is, and what actions have been taking place much more frequently - I should probably dust off those certs myself)
